    March slave

I already have a post where I talk about the great experience I had a month ago. https://hive.blog/hive-105786/@jorge234nv/hive-open-mic-week-84-alma-llanera-for-trombone-yosoyjorge

But I wanted to remember that spectacular moment, playing a short passage of the "Piú mosso" and the "Allegro risoluto" in the last staves of the "March Slave".

    March Slave.

It is an orchestral composition by Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky (Russian composer of the Romantic period).
In June 1875, after Turkish soldiers killed a large number of Christian Slavs who had rebelled against the Ottoman Empire and were supported by countries such as Austria and Russia, Serbia declared war on Turkey. Many Russians showed solidarity with what they considered their fellow Slavs, and sent volunteer and relief soldiers to the Kingdom of Serbia. In the ensuing fighting the Serbian army was quickly defeated by the Turks. Nikolai Rubinstein, a close friend of Tchaikovsky, asked him to compose a piece for a charity concert for the wounded Russian volunteers. In a burst of patriotism, Tchaikovsky, composed and orchestrated what became known as the "Serbo-Russian March" (later known as the "Slavic March") in just five days.1 The piece was premiered in Moscow on November 17, 1876 to a warm reception from the public.

    Guinness Record.

On Saturday, November 13, in the courtyard of honor of the military academy of Caracas, the Guinness World Record was achieved as the largest orchestra in the world by surpassing the 8,097 musicians (Record imposed by Russia) playing simultaneously for more than 5 minutes.

And although not all the 12,000 musicians present in the military courtyard played the March Slave, the other works did, you really feel a lump in your throat when you hear the notes of the national anthem of your country, played at the same time by 12,000 Venezuelans, and hear the song "Venezuela" by these 12,000 musicians. It is an experience that leaves you speechless. A beautiful work of art!

Brothers and Sisters, I bid you farewell with a hug, I hope my interpretation is pleasant for you. I am happy to be able to share this experience with all those who can hear me. My best wishes to every member of this beautiful community. God bless you all!
Pd: I apologize for the technical errors when playing the instrument, I promise that as soon as I can I will improve. See you soon!
