It was the last few days of the just concluded season, the battles were brutal, no mercy for the weak as we all trample on each other for glory.
I was on a losing streak and had no where to hide but to grind out the victories, there was no giving up, it was a matter of going at your opponent with the best suitable element for each battle.
Scouting my opponent I saw the likelihood of coming up against level 5 Obsidian. I felt I was no match if I go at my opponent without some special ability monsters, at least I have to put up a good fight I told myself.
Battle Ruleset
Stampede
Equalizer
Mana Cap 44
With the anticipation of enemy Obsidian, Unicorn Mustang had to lead my attack to reduce damage from magic attack with the Void ability. Unicorn Mustang have become very useful monster especially with the introduction of Obsidian.
It currently trades at $17.98 per copy. A mistake I did in my early days of playing Splinterlands was combining cards unnecessarily, I have 2 Mustang combined, I wish I didn't have them combined, I would either rent out one or sell for another card.
Being an Equalizer ruleset I had to bring in Spirit Druid Grog for that special ability I mentioned above Resurrect In a battle of this magnitude bringing an eliminated back to like for a second chance on the battlefield helps a lot.
Interestingly it will cost you $17 to pick a copy of Spirit Druid Grog off the market.
Another Legendary in my lineup was Queen Mycelia, I bless the day this queen came my way from Chaos Legion pack opening. Queen Mycelia have been a great force added to my Earth Splinter, bringing magic and armor to the team. in third spot. Queen Mycelia trades for $16.38 at present.
A Silence ability will do some good in reducing the magic attack of enemy monsters, Mushroom Seer provides such ability pretty well stepping in fourth place of the lineup.
Be prepared to part with $16.89 if Mushroom Seer interests you.
Goblin Psychic might be slow but the Tank Heal it provides to frontline friendly monsters is one to take advantage of with Affliction ability at level 4. A Gold Foil Psychic trades at $4.49.
The first thing preys notice is the unusual large heads of Mitica Headhunter...I will let the Lore describe better
These savage hunters are from one of the two original villages of Anumün and are named for their unusually large heads, which are the first thing their prey sees, but at that point they’re as good as dinner.
The Snare ability the speed at which Headhunter attacks makes it a suitable monster for a battle of this magnitude, I had no where to run, I had to give it all against my deadly opponent and came out victorious.
One of those brutal battles of last season.
