Well I finally got around to putting a little video together about one of our little family adventures at the Walla Walla River. Typically I take all my videos with my iPhone X and use iMovie to edit them. This go around I took the videos with my GoPro Hero 5 Black and used the Photo app included in Windows 10 to create the video. It's not a bad app by any means but when you are so used to using one video editing app and try another it is a bit confusing. Either way I think it turned out pretty good and I will be making some more videos with the GoPro in the future
This time of year the Walla Walla River skinnies up to a few small streams and a couple pools deep enough to swim in. Just weeks prior you could hop on a tube and float quite a ways down the river without hitting your tailbone on a rock or 10. All the small pools are loaded with minnows... thousands if not millions!! I did manage to get the GoPro in the water and film some of these curious fish swimming around my feet. The bigger ones were really cool to watch and the smaller ones looked like a swarm of bees in the cartoons, only under water. I imagine many of these little minnows will end up being a tasty treat for some of the local birds and never meet adulthood. I have no idea what kind of fish they are but I do know there was a $#!+ Ton!!
We wondered up and down the river searching for deeper pools to swim in and maybe a possible treasure. No luck with the treasure, only a couple shoes and a water bottle. There was quite a bit of metal and junk laying up on the dry river bed from the flood last year. I picked up the pieces I saw and threw out of the river bed. If nothing at all we got a good family walk in and got to enjoy a bit of nature and cool off in the Walla Walla River
