In this video, we talked about splinterlands' and most of the prevalent issues that are often talked about by players of the game. The first is the impact of the bot economy on the splinterlands' gameplay, how the frequent changes in the system have been tailored to reduce bot farming and the time vs value debate that prompts players to play or just rent their cards for passive income. Surprisingly the bot ecosystem has been integral to the rental market.
The rental market in turn creates and sustains more value for people who owns a lot of assets. We discussed the aspect of bot farming in the lower leagues and how these changes will make it easier to decrease farming and encourage more human play.
We also talked about players bringing more skin into the game as another major reason why the game has become difficult lately, the players with huge assets and how these assets are used to improve their rewards.
This leads us to talk about the excitement and challenges of playing the game especially when the incentive dips and people with more assets begin to run the show. We concluded that Splinterlands rewards one's passion and this depends on their level of investment, efforts, and time. Before the video ended we talked about elements, cards, and preferences.
