「是日已過，命亦隨減，如少水魚，斯有何樂？大眾！當勤精進，如救頭然，但念無常，慎勿放逸！」

As this day passes,
Our life also diminishes,
Like fish bereft of water:
What joy is there?
Great Assembly!
We must strive diligently,
As if our hair were aflame.
Be mindful of impermanence!
Beware of complacency!
