Pukumundo La Voz Cantante SEMANA #60 / Ingrata (Español/Inglés)

Un saludo amoroso para todos mis amigos de Hive, una vez más estoy en la comunidad de Pukumundo rockeando junto ustedes. Primero que todo quiero confesar que nunca pensé que conociera tantas canciones y bandas del genero rock o pop/rock, gracias a esta semana he estado investigando mucho y ahora tengo una gran batería de canciones de estoy géneros, que escuche durante toda mi vida y no conocía sus historias. Claro, como no las he cantado antes pues se ha convertido en un gran reto explorar en todo este mundo y eso me tiene muy emocionada.

Esta vez les traigo un fragmento de la canción “Ingrata” de la banda de rock mexicana Café Tacvba. Esta agrupación se conformó en los años 80 y siempre se ha caracterizado por mezclar ritmos, géneros y sonidos que forman parte de la cultura y del folclor mexicano. “Ingrata” es uno de esos temas con un ritmo muy particular y con ese toque mexicano que es pegajoso y muy atractivo.

La razón por la que no cante completa la canción, es porque la otra parte de la canción me parece bastante machista y va en contra de mi cantar una letra así. Sin embargo la canción sigue siendo de una gran calidad musical y por eso me he animado a cantarla. También en el año 2019 la canta colombiana Andrea Echeverri interpreto esta canción junto a Café Tacvba y ofrecieron un espectáculo maravilloso con una nueva letra, que le da voz a la mujer, pues en la versión original solo se trataba de un personaje masculino insultando y culpando a la mujer de todo lo malo en la relación; además reclama el derecho a una vida libre de violencia e introduce la frase “ni una más”.

Esto es maravilloso pues desmonta la idea que se ha perpetuado en la música mexica durante décadas, de que las mujeres somos “malas”. Y ubica esta gran canción en la realidad de las mujeres mexicanas (y del mundo) que son asesinadas, violadas y maltratadas a diario por sus parajes o ex parejas. Así que bravo por Café Tacvba, que puede sin ningún miedo, después de años, repensarse una de sus canciones y adaptarla de manera más sensible y humana a la realidad de las mujeres. Y por supuesto bravo también por Andrea Echeverri por formar parte de esta idea.

Love greetings to all my Hive friends, once again I'm in the Pukumundo community rocking with you. First of all I want to confess that I never thought I knew so many songs and bands of the rock or pop/rock genre, thanks to this week I have been researching a lot and now I have a large battery of songs of these genres, I listened throughout my life and did not know their stories. Of course, since I haven't sung them before, it has become a great challenge to explore this whole world and I'm very excited about it.

This time I bring you a fragment of the song "Ingrata" by the Mexican rock band Café Tacvba. This band was formed in the 80's and has always been characterized by mixing rhythms, genres and sounds that are part of Mexican culture and folklore. "Ingrata" is one of those songs with a very particular rhythm and with that Mexican touch that is catchy and very attractive.

The reason why I didn't sing the whole song is because the other part of the song seems to me quite macho and it's against me to sing lyrics like that. However the song is still of a great musical quality and that's why I was encouraged to sing it. Also in 2019 the Colombian singer Andrea Echeverri performed this song with Café Tacvba and offered a wonderful show with new lyrics, which gives voice to women, because in the original version it was only a male character insulting and blaming the woman for everything bad in the relationship; it also claims the right to a life free of violence and introduces the phrase "ni una más" (not one more).

This is wonderful because it dismantles the idea that has been perpetuated in Mexican music for decades, that women are "bad". And it places this great song in the reality of Mexican (and world) women who are murdered, raped and abused on a daily basis by their partners or ex-partners. So bravo for Café Tacvba, who can without any fear, after years, rethink one of their songs and adapt it in a more sensitive and human way to the reality of women. And of course bravo also to Andrea Echeverri for being part of this idea.
