A loving greeting to all my friends of Hive, I am pleased, as always, to be again sharing with you in the Open Mic, this week with a very particular theme. I confess that when I saw what it was about I was conflicted because I did not know which song to interpret, but I took a few days and I came to me this beautiful song that definitely immerses us in the depths of the sea.

Its name is "Señora Manatí" by the extraordinary Cuban musician Teresita Fernández. Although this artist was born in Cuba, I would dare to say that she does not belong to this world, her compositions, her vocal level, her way of playing the guitar are for me a brilliant genius. In this particular song Teresita Fernandez tells us about one of the most incredible creatures that inhabits the seas, specifically the Caribbean Sea.

The manatee is a prehistoric creature, which unfortunately is in danger of extinction due to human mistreatment. In the sea inhabit millions of lives that every day are threatened by the lack of awareness of people. So, how can we talk about the sea without mentioning this detail, the incredible fauna that inhabits it. Of the thousands of species that roam its surface and depths, the manatee is mythical and mystical.

To this beautiful and plump animal we owe the creation of the mermaids, whose song kept sailors awake at night and made them wander aimlessly, seduced by the tender notes they sang. Well, in reality it was him, the manatee with his uli uli uli uli - uli uli uli ula, as the song says: You sing the lullaby of the bottom of the sea.

This beautiful composition cannot be missing in our playlist, because although Teresita Fernandez dedicated an important part of her work to children, undoubtedly it was not only to children, but also to those little ones that each one of us carries inside, I hope you enjoy it, see you next time.

    Letter

Lady Manatee, little mermaid of the sea,
my story paints you in silver and crystal,
    singing songs with sweet ululation,
guitars of red coral accompany you.

    Ulí, ulí, ulí, ulí,
    ulí, ulí, ulí, ula,
    ulí, ulí, ulí, ulí,
    ulí, ulí, ulí, ulí, ula.
    Singing songs with sweet ulular,
guitars of red coral accompany you.

Lady Manatee, fat lady of the sea,
if you're going out you must wrap up warm.
From the sea to the river, from the river to the sea,
from the sea to the river, you like to walk.

    Ulí, ulí, ulí,
    ulí, ulí, ulí, ula,
    ulí, ulí, ulí, ulí,
    ulí, ulí, ulí, ulí, ula.
From the sea to the river, from the river to the sea,
from the sea to the river, you like to walk.

Lady Manatee, beautiful queen of the sea,
you embroider the foam of a white diaper,
    singing songs with sweet ululation,
you sing the lullaby of the bottom of the sea.

    Ulí, ulí, ulí, ulí,
    ulí, ulí, ulí, ula,
    ulli, ulli, ulli, ulli,
    ulí, ulí, ulí, ulí, ula.
Singing songs with sweet ulí, ulí, ulí, ulí, ulí, ulí, ula,
you sing the lullaby of the bottom of the sea.
