Un saludo amoroso para todos mis amigos de Hive, una vez más estoy feliz de compartir con ustedes en este Open mic. El tema de esta semana es Work of True Love, qué bello es poder hablar del amor a través de la música. Durante muchos años trabajé con grandes y pequeños grupos de niños entorno a los valores humanos, el amor es un valor universal. Nos han enseñado erradamente que es un sentimiento o una emoción, pero en realidad es un valor integral y como todos los valores no es negociable.

Todo lo que hacemos en esta vida debe ser hecho con amor, incluso las decisiones más difíciles deben estar orientadas a un propósito mayor, el amor. Cuando terminamos una relación tóxica lo hacemos por amor propio, cuando sabemos que le hacemos daño alguien y tenemos que abandonar nuestro ego y enfrentar nuestros errores, lo hacemos por amor. En lo personal, el amor es la base sobre la que he construido mi vida, incluso en las circunstancias más difíciles ha sido esta bella energía lo que me ha mantenido en pie.

Por todo lo anterior, escogí la icónica canción “Yo vengo a ofrecer mi corazón” del grandioso artista argentino Fito Páez. Siempre he pensado que Fito es uno de los mejores compositores de nuestro continente, sus letras tienen una sensibilidad increíble y nos conectan con nuestra parte más humana. No solo esta canción, muchas otras son literalmente manifestaciones universales de amor y eso las hace maravillosas.

Esta es mi mejor manera de hablar sobre el verdadero amor, en un mundo lleno de guerras, violencias, explotación, crueldad, violaciones, desigualdad social, injusticias; yo vengo a ofrecer mi corazón. Parafraseando a Fito, mi amor es un documento inalterable, no negocio, no me vendo. No me callaré ante una injusticia, ni consentiré una crueldad, ni seré cómplice de ningún verdugo, ni dejaré de hacer el bien, pase lo que pase.

Esta canción es un bello manifiesto de amor, así que para todos ustedes y en cualquier circunstancia Yo vengo a ofrecer mi corazón.

A loving greeting to all my Hive friends, once again I am happy to share with you in this Open mic. This week's theme is Work of True Love, how beautiful to be able to talk about love through music. For many years I worked with large and small groups of children around human values, love is a universal value. We have been wrongly taught that it is a feeling or an emotion, but in reality it is an integral value and like all values it is non-negotiable.

Everything we do in this life must be done with love, even the most difficult decisions must be oriented to a greater purpose, love. When we end a toxic relationship we do it out of self-love, when we know we hurt someone and we have to abandon our ego and face our mistakes, we do it out of love. Personally, love is the foundation on which I have built my life, even in the most difficult circumstances it has been this beautiful energy that has kept me on my feet.

For all of the above, I chose the iconic song "Yo vengo a ofrecer mi corazón" (I come to offer my heart) by the great Argentinean artist Fito Paez. I have always thought that Fito is one of the best composers of our continent, his lyrics have an incredible sensitivity and connect us with our most human part. Not only this song, many others are literally universal manifestations of love and that makes them wonderful.

This is my best way to talk about true love, in a world full of wars, violence, exploitation, cruelty, rape, social inequality, injustice; I come to offer my heart. To paraphrase Fito, my love is an unalterable document, I do not negotiate, I do not sell myself. I will not be silent in the face of injustice, nor will I consent to cruelty, nor will I be an accomplice of any executioner, nor will I stop doing good, no matter what.

This song is a beautiful manifesto of love, so for all of you and in any circumstance I come to offer my heart.
