Un saludo amoroso para todos mis amigos de Hive, este sábado maravillo me complace participar en el Hive Music Festival. En esta primera ronda elegí la canción Razón para vivir, esta es una canción del compositor argentino Víctor Heredia. La conocí en la voz de Mercedes Sosa, una de mis cantoras favoritas. Adoro la música latinoamericana porque es producto de nuestra riqueza cultural y humana. La mayoría de las canciones que interpreto son nacidas en el sur del continente, porque tienen tanto color como nuestros pueblos, incluso cuando reflejan las crudas realidades, están llenas de nuestro calor.

Razón para vivir es un tema de amor, pero no es el amor romántico tradicional, de hecho es una idea bastante revolucionaria: poder amar sin perderse a una misma, poder caminar junto a otra(s) persona(s) contrayendo el amor y no verle como si fuera un producto que sacamos de una cajita feliz. Por esa razón cuando la canto, siempre la acompaño con el Tercer poema de amor del poeta salvadoreño Roque Dalto, para mí, hay poemas y canciones que nacieron para estar juntos, este es el caso.

En la guitarra mi compañera de vida y de canciones, esta fue una de las primeras canciones que interpretamos juntas y nos ha acompañado durante años en las diferentes comunidades donde hemos podido tocar. Esta vez la comparto con ustedes, espero que la disfruten tanto como nosotras, hasta la próxima ronda amigos.

Hive Music Festival Week Nº1 - First round / Reason to live (Spanish/English)

A loving greeting to all my Hive friends, this wonderful Saturday I am pleased to participate in the Hive Music Festival. In this first round I chose the song Razón para vivir, this is a song by the Argentine composer Victor Heredia. I met her in the voice of Mercedes Sosa, one of my favorite singers. I love Latin American music because it is a product of our cultural and human richness. Most of the songs I interpret are born in the south of the continent, because they have as much color as our people, even when they reflect the harsh realities, they are full of our warmth.

Razón para vivir is a love song, but it is not the traditional romantic love, in fact it is a quite revolutionary idea: to be able to love without losing oneself, to be able to walk together with other person(s) contracting love and not seeing it as if it were a product we took out of a happy box. For that reason when I sing it, I always accompany it with the Third love poem of the Salvadoran poet Roque Dalto, for me, there are poems and songs that were born to be together, this is the case.

On the guitar my partner in life and songs, this was one of the first songs we played together and has accompanied us for years in the different communities where we have been able to play. This time I share it with you, I hope you enjoy it as much as we do, until the next round friends.
