Un saludo amoroso para todos mis amigos de Hive, me alegra estar nuevamente en el open mic, esta semana el tema es maravilloso como siempre Nuestro Destino y para ello escogí una canción que atesoro y aprecio profundamente. “Como la cigarra” de María Elena Walsh es un tema publicado por primera vez en 1973, tiene un extenso recorrido en nuestra historia latinoamericana y a lo largo de ella ha cambiado de sentidos y de significado.

Fue uno de los temas censurados por la dictadura argentina por ser un himno de la libertad. Se hizo mucho más popular en la voz de Mercedes Sosa, quien la adopto durante su exilio debido a la dictadura. En mi opinión la letra de esta canción es maravillosa, concentra una avalancha de ideas sobre la vida que realmente te llenan el corazón. Es muy sentida, hasta dolorosa, para mi es imposible no conmoverme profundamente cada vez que la escucho o canto; pero al mismo tiempo es resilente y renovadora.

Por eso es mi propuesta para esta semana, esta canción es una mirada hacia adelante. Nos sugiere elocuentemente que somos dueños de nuestro destino sin importar los golpes de la vida, sus amarguras, sus dolores o injusticias, nosotros elegimos si quedarnos tirados o renacer. Y todo esto puede verse desde lo social, como históricamente la han adoptado los pueblos de nuestro continente o desde lo personal, pues como dice el poema del grandísimo Cesar Vallejo “Hay golpes en la vida, tan fuertes... ¡Yo no sé!” Así que solo nos queda cantar al sol como la cigarra y seguir andando.
