Mi hermana y yo decidimos cantar una canción en portugués para el Hive Open Mic Week 199 tema Brasil. Nos pareció un reto interesante, ya que nos saca de nuestra zona de confort. Así que, la verdad, al haber elegido este tema para cantar, me siento como nuevo al participar en esta semana. Con nuevas energías para dar una buena interpretación, espero perseverar junto a esta comunidad de músicos y cantantes.

La canción que elegimos es "Ai se eu te pego" de Michel Teló. Es una canción muy pegajosa y alegre que ha sido un gran éxito en Brasil y en muchos otros países. Cuando la escuché por primera vez, me encantó su ritmo y su melodía. Aunque no entiendo muy bien el portugués, me pareció una canción divertida y llena de energía.

La preparación para esta actuación ha sido todo un desafío. Hemos tenido que aprender la letra y practicar la pronunciación en portugués. Afortunadamente, mi hermana y yo hemos estado estudiando este idioma durante algún tiempo, así que no ha sido tan difícil. Sin embargo, cantar en otro idioma siempre es un reto, ya que debemos asegurarnos de pronunciar correctamente cada palabra y transmitir el sentimiento adecuado.

Durante los ensayos, hemos tratado de capturar la esencia de la canción y transmitir la alegría y la diversión que transmite. Nos hemos divertido mucho cantando y bailando al ritmo de "Ai se eu te pego". Además, hemos buscado algunos videos de presentaciones en vivo de Michel Teló para inspirarnos y aprender de su estilo y carisma en el escenario.

My sister and I decided to sing a song in Portuguese for the Brazil theme of Hive Open Mic Week 199. We found it an interesting challenge, since it takes us out of our comfort zone. So, the truth is, having chosen this song to sing, I feel like a new person participating in this week. With new energy to give a good performance, I hope to persevere with this community of musicians and singers.

The song we chose is "Ai se eu te pego" by Michel Teló. It is a very catchy and happy song that has been a great success in Brazil and many other countries. When I heard it for the first time, I loved its rhythm and melody. Although I don't understand Portuguese very well, I thought it was a fun and energetic song.

Preparation for this performance has been quite a challenge. We have had to learn the lyrics and practice the pronunciation in Portuguese. Fortunately, my sister and I have been studying this language for some time, so it hasn't been that difficult. However, singing in another language is always a challenge, as we must make sure to pronounce each word correctly and convey the right feeling.
