Happy day for everyone! At last my time has come to share my entry for week 61 of the Hive Open Mic. It had been a bit busy, but during the week and together with the family we have been seeing incredible contributions regarding the theme of this occasion which is Retry.

All the songs have been very optimistic, and in a certain way the one that I will present today is also optimistic, because when we talk about retrying, the idea is to do it all over again, but well ... However, I want to highlight with my cover that that strength Of optimism many times it is born of a great fall, of a darkness that traps us and we want to get out of it.

My Principle is a song from 2008, it belongs to the soundtrack of a movie called Quemar las Naves, and although it has several versions, I stayed with the version of the Mexican Julieta Venegas, which was the one they used as a promotional single, in addition to to be the one who touched my heart with her melancholy and made me cry in that first moment.

I believe that in art, everyone can give the interpretation that they feel the most. My Principle is about retrying, leaving even loved people and things behind and highlighting self-love. Retrying hurts too, but it's a necessary evil.
