Hello friends of Hive Open Mic! We have reached the 91st week and we meet based on the theme "Motivation to Achieve", chosen by our great friend @fernanblog, one of the most talented and outstanding users on the platform and I send him a very special greeting. I know he will receive it because he always keeps an eye on our posts, especially this week where we all sing and play thanks to his inspiration.

The lyrics of the following song are not the most accurate in terms of the theme, but what it makes me feel is. Together with my father @armandolnrs we are going to sing "The Two Sparrowhawks" (Sparrowhawk Tongue Twister), by Adelys Freitez, popularized by Carota, Ñema and Taja. Two years ago I wanted to record it, but I got sick of my gallbladder and had an operation. A year ago we had it ready to record it, but my dad got sick of his gallbladder and also had surgery 😅 Finally today we can share our version.

This song by Adelys Freites tells the story of the meeting of two sparrowhawks from two other Venezuelan songs: El Gavilán Tocuyano (Tocuyan Sparrowhawk) by Pablo Canela and El Gavilán Trabalenguas (Sparrowhawk Tongue Twister) by Rafael Pio Alvarado. There have always been many doubts about the origin of this song, but the answer is easy, this is a third song that was born from the union of other great jewels of our folklore.

Beyond the illness, this song is characterized by having a tongue twister as the third verse that also delayed the final result a little more. I've been waiting for a perfect song to share with the Hive Open Mic community and finally the time has come. To sing it and record it at last is a synonym of Motivation to Achieve for us. I hope you enjoy it as much as we did singing it.

¡Hola amigos de Hive Open Mic!. Hemos llegado a la semana 91 y nos reunimos en base a la temática "Motivación al Logro", elegido por nuestro gran amigo Fernando Benedetti, uno de los usuarios más talentosos y destacados en la plataforma y le envío un saludo muy especial. Sé que lo recibirá porque siempre está pendiente de nuestras entradas, en especial esta semana donde todos cantamos y tocamos gracias a su inspiración.

La letra de la siguiente canción no es la más acertada en cuento al tema, pero lo que me hace sentir sí que lo es. Junto a mi padre @armandolnrs vamos a cantar "Los Dos Gavilanes" (El Gavilán Trabalenguas), de Adelys Freitez, popularizada por Carota, Ñema y Taja. Hace dos años quise grabarla, pero me enfermé de la vesícula y me operaron. Hace un año ya la teníamos lista para grabar, pero se enfermó mi papá de la vesícula y también lo operaron 😅 Finalmente hoy podemos compartir nuestra versión.

Esta canción de Adelys Freitez narra la historia del encuentro de dos gavilanes de otras dos canciones venezolanas: El Gavilán Tocuyano de Pablo Canela y el Gavilán Trabalenguas de Rafael Pio Alvarado. Siempre han existido muchas dudas sobre el origen de la misma, pero la respuesta es fácil, esta viene siendo una tercera canción que nació de la unión de otras grandes joyas de nuestro folclore.

Más allá de la enfermedad, esta canción se caracteriza por tener un trabalenguas como tercera estrofa que también atrasó un poco más el resultado final. Estuve esperando un tema perfecto para compartirlo en la comunidad de Hive Open Mic y al fin ha llegado al momento. Realmente cantarla y grabarla al fin es sinónimo de Motivación al Logro para nosotros. Espero la disfruten tanto como nosotros al momento de cantarla.
