CREDO | The Glory of Returning Home [Eng - Esp] La Gloria de Volver a Casa

It is a pleasure for me to greet you again through Q-Inspired, one of my favorite corners in Hive. For personal reasons I have been away from music for a long time, both in Hive Open Mic and in my personal life. It is with great joy that today I can share with you the joy of getting back to my great passion. I have missed a lot this year, in my job I never rest, but it has made me happy that you have had a special consideration with me and my family these first two months of the year, not all people have this opportunity to leave for so long and have a secure position.

Es un gusto para mí saludarles nuevamente a través de Q-Inspired, unos de mis rincones favoritos en Hive. Por motivos personales tengo mucho tiempo alejado de la música tanto en Hive Open Mic como en mi vida personal. Con mucha alegría hoy puedo compartir con ustedes la dicha de acercarme nuevamente a mi gran pasión. Ha sido mucho lo que me he perdido este año, en mi trabajo jamás se descansa, pero me ha hecho feliz que hayan tenido una consideración especial conmigo y mi familia estos dos primeros meses del año, no todas las personas tienen esta oportunidad de irse tanto tiempo y tener su cargo seguro.

There are many reasons for happiness for me in this return to Caracas after three months of absence and directly to my home, the Simon Bolivar Hall of the National Center of Social Action for Music. On this occasion I had to be a spectator of my own group, since I have not been present at rehearsals since the illness and death of my dad @armandolnrs, but against all odds I brought my mom @zorajr to Caracas, with whom we have enjoyed a concert of international level. We both needed this dose of music at this moment in our lives, and this was not just any music, it was a Credo, a special dedication to God. The other great reason besides the presence of my mother is that my girl @jhoxiris was the soprano soloist on this occasion, and needless to say she excelled.

Hay muchos motivos de felicidad para mí en este regreso a Caracas luego de tres meses de ausencia y directamente a mi casa, la Sala Simón Bolívar del Centro Nacional de Acción Social por la Música. En esta ocasión tuve que ser espectador de mi propia agrupación, ya que no he estado presente en los ensayos desde la enfermedad y muerte de mi papá @armandolnrs, pero contra viento y marea me traje a Caracas a mi mamá @zorajr, con quien hemos disfrutado un concierto de nivel internacional. Ambos necesitábamos esta dosis de música en este momento de nuestros vidas, y esta no fue cualquier música, fue un Credo, una dedicatoria especial para Dios. El otro gran motivo además de la presencia de mi madre es que mi chica @jhoxiris fue la soprano solista en esta oportunidad, y está de más decir que se ha lucido.

This Credo is by the young composer Fernando Escalona, who, believe it or not, was a member of my group the Simón Bolívar National Choir until a few years ago, and has been one of our most outstanding Venezuelans abroad. He managed to enter the Palace of Versailles in France and was the first countertenor to enter the Paris Opera Academy, the Opera Bastille and the Opera Garnier. Here in Venezuela he was already a star and one of the boys I most admired when he wanted to join my group. To my surprise, he also stands out as a composer. This Credo is his third symphony and he has premiered it here in Caracas in his Sistema Nacional de Orquestas y Coros Juveniles e Infantiles de Venezuela with his beloved Coral, the Orquesta Sinfónica Simón Bolívar and Maestro Christian Vásquez, all in homage to Maestro José Antonio Abreu.

Este Credo es del joven compositor Fernando Escalona, aunque no lo crean fue miembro de mi agrupación la Coral Nacional Simón Bolívar hasta hace unos años, y ha sido uno de nuestros venezolanos más destacados en el extranjero. Logró entrar al Palacio de Versalles en Francia y fue el primer contratenor en entrar a la Academia de Ópera de París, la Ópera Bastille y la Ópera Garnier. Aquí en Venezuela ya era toda una estrella y uno de los muchachos que más admiraba cuando deseaba entrar a mi agrupación. Para mi sorpresa, también se destaca como compositor. Este Credo es su tercera sinfonía y la ha estrenado aquí en Caracas en su Sistema Nacional de Orquestas y Coros Juveniles e Infantiles de Venezuela con su amada Coral, la Orquesta Sinfónica Simón Bolívar y el Maestro Christian Vásquez, todo en homenaje al Maestro José Antonio Abreu.

It is inevitable to feel proud to be Venezuelan in moments like this. The video I recorded does not do merit to the majesty of the composition, I hope to publish more of this music later, since we are going to record it and then I hope to be part of the line of tenors that will participate. All those people you see in the three pictures above are talented Venezuelans with international musical export quality.

Es inevitable sentirme orgulloso de ser venezolano en momentos como este. El video que grabé no hace méritos a la majestuosidad de la composición, espero más adelante poder publicar más de esta música, ya que la vamos a grabar y ahí si espero ser partícipe de la fila de tenores que participarán. Todas esas personas que ven en las tres fotografías de arriba son talentosos venezolanos con calidad de exportación musical internacional.

I am very pleased that after almost 6 years being part of the Simón Bolívar National Choir I still feel the same emotion and admiration. I love to see my group from the audience, its strength is almost divine, and even more when we perform liturgical repertoire like this. I already have my batteries recharged to start my normal musical life, besides the next stop is in my Maracay, and precisely in the cathedral where my parents used to sing together every Sunday. It will be a challenge for me, but I must be part of that presentation and learn everything I have pending since the beginning of the year in repertoire.

Me agrada mucho que después de casi 6 años siendo parte de la Coral Nacional Simón Bolívar sigo sintiendo la misma emoción y admiración. Me encanta ver a mi agrupación desde el público, su fuerza es casi divina, y más cuando interpretamos repertorio litúrgico como este. Ya tengo las baterías recargadas para comenzar mi vida musical normal, además que la siguiente parada es en mi Maracay, y justamente en la catedral donde mis papás cantaban juntos cada domingo. Será un reto para mí, pero debo ser parte de esa presentación y aprenderme todo lo que tengo pendiente desde inicios de año en repertorio.

In addition to my mom's visit this weekend, we were accompanied by our inseparable friends from Caracas who never miss any of our concerts. My mom had to be sent off to Maracay as soon as the presentation was over, but we had the joy of celebrating a little more with a delicious and well-deserved lunch for Jhoxiris who got this work off the ground in spite of my dad's death. It's been a difficult month for us, because I've needed her in my life, but she can't give up her commitments either. My closest friends @fernanblog and @musicandreview know what I'm talking about. Also my dearest @mipiano, to whom I apologize that the close sound of the video is not the best, but if you place yourself at minute 3:53 you can appreciate it a little more. Of course, you can not miss the grand finale that we recorded Jhoxiris up close at minute: 5:00.

Además de la visita de mi mamá este fin de semana, nos acompañaron nuestras inseparables amigas de Caracas que no se pierden ninguno de nuestros conciertos. A mi mamá la tuve que despachar a Maracay a penas terminó la presentación, pero nosotros tuvimos la dicha de celebrar un poco más con un rico y merecido almuerzo para Jhoxiris que sacó este trabajo a flote a pesar de la muerte de mi papá. Ha sido un mes difícil para nosotros , porque la he necesitado en mi vida, pero tampoco puede abandonar sus compromisos. Mis amigos más cercanos @fernanblog y @musicandreview saben de qué hablo. También mi querida @mipiano, a quien pido disculpas que el sonido cercano del video no es el mejor, pero si te ubicas en el minuto 3:53 se aprecia un poco más. Eso sí, no se pueden perder el gran final que grabamos a Jhoxiris de cerca en el minuto: 5:00.

I say goodbye happy to have made a publication for Hive happier than the previous ones. I remember I wrote in my blog in January that this would be a great year. I don't know anymore if it is or not, because this first quarter has surprised me a lot, but you have to move forward and you have to heal, and music is usually a good remedy for sadness. Me despido feliz de haber hecho una publicación para Hive más feliz que las anteriores. Recuerdo que escribí en mi blog en enero que este sería un gran año. Ya no sé si lo es o no, porque este primer trimestre me ha sorprendido mucho, pero hay que avanzar y hay que sanar, y la música suele ser un buen remedio para la tristeza.
