A special greeting to the entire Q-Inspired community! For those who do not know, Maestro Oscar de Leon is one of the biggest musical stars of my country Venezuela in the world, and I begin by telling you this so that you understand the sentimental value for me to publish this post. He is known as the Sonero of the World or the Devil of Salsa, precisely because he has excelled in this Latin musical genre for 50 uninterrupted years.

Para quienes no saben, el Maestro Oscar de León es una de las estrellas musicales más grandes de mi país Venezuela en el mundo, y comenzar diciéndoles aclarándoles esto para que entiendan el valor sentimental que es para mí publicar este post. Se le conoce como el Sonero del Mundo o el Diablo de la Salsa, precisamente porque se ha destacado en este género musical latino por 50 años ininterrumpidos.

This year Oscar De Leon celebrates 50 years of career and decided to celebrate it in style with a very successful international tour that ended in his Venezuela; to our happiness, he decided to make a special concert mixing symphonic music with the flavor of his salsa. To perform it, ties were made with my beloved institution, the National System of Orchestras and Youth and Children's Choirs of Venezuela, and the Simón Bolívar Symphony Orchestra and the Simón Bolívar National Choir (a group to which I belong as a tenor) were in charge of accompanying the sonero.

Este año Oscar De León cumple 50 años de carrera y decidió celebrarlo por todo lo alto con una gira internacional muy exitosa que terminó en su Venezuela; para felicidad de nosotros, decidió hacer un concierto especial mezclando la música sinfónica con el sabor de su salsa. Para ejecutarlo se hicieron lazos con mi amada institución, el Sistema Nacional de Orquestas y Coros Juveniles e Infantiles de Venezuela, y la Orquesta Sinfónica Simón Bolívar y la Coral Nacional Simón Bolívar (agrupación a la cual pertenezco como tenor) fueron las encargadas de acompañar al sonero.

As you can see in the picture on the left, this event was directed by Maestro Christian Vásquez, one of our most outstanding figures in El Sistema and who continues the legacy of Maestro Abreu, as well as Gustavo Dudamel. We spent weeks preparing for this musical feast, but it was the third week of September when we shared with this God of salsa during countless rehearsals and practically five concerts, although only three were for sale. Two in the Rios Reyna Hall of the prestigious Teresa Carreño Theater and one in the Forum of Valencia. In addition, this event coincided with our new uniforms, an elegant tailcoat for the gentlemen and a beautiful gala dress for the ladies that were at the height of the celebration.

Como pueden ver en la fotografía de la izquierda, este evento fue dirigido por el Maestro Christian Vásquez, una de nuestras figuras más resaltantes en El Sistema y que continúa el legado del Maestro Abreu, al igual que Gustavo Dudamel. Fueron semanas preparándonos para esta fiesta musical, pero fue la tercera semana de Septiembre cuando compartimos con este Dios de la salsa durante innumerables ensayos y prácticamente cinco conciertos, aunque a la venta solo fueron tres. Dos en la Sala Ríos Reyna del prestigioso Teatro Teresa Carreño y uno en el Forum de Valencia. Además, este evento coincidió con nuestros nuevos uniformes, un elegante frac para los caballeros y un bello vestido de gala para las damas que estaban a la altura de la celebración.

In this concert we perform with Oscar great salsa hits, not only his original compositions, but also other great classics among which stand out: Anabacoa, Ariel, La Mazucamba, Taboga, Rebelión, Calculadora, Llorarás y Mi Bajo Y Yo, among many others. One of the moments that touched me the most was when he performed the song "A El", an exclusive song for his dad; it was inevitable for me to avoid crying in each of the concerts, since these presentations were the first time I was away from my dad after that terrible accident that still has him immobile in a bed and believe me it is not easy to go from two months of crying and hospitals to a salsa concert where everyone is happy, jumping and dancing, but as they say: "The Show Must Go On".

En este concierto interpretamos junto a Oscar grandísimos éxitos de la salsa, no solo de sus composiciones originales, sino otros grandes clásicos entre los que destacan: Anabacoa, Ariel, La Mazucamba, Taboga, Rebelión, Calculadora, Llorarás y Mi Bajo Y Yo, entre muchos otros. Uno de los momentos que más me conmovió fue cuando interpretó la canción "A El", tema exclusivo para su papá; fue inevitable para mí evitar llorar en cada uno de los conciertos, ya que estas presentaciones fueron la primera vez que me alejé de mi papá luego de ese terrible accidente que aún lo tiene inmóvil en una cama y créanme que no es nada fácil pasar de dos mese de llanto y hospitales a un concierto de salsa donde todo el mundo está feliz, brincando y bailando, pero como se suele decir: "El Show Debe Continuar".

In the video that I have shared at the top of this post I present a small edit in the Shotcut program of several stories that I made during that week since the arrival of Oscar de Leon to our El Sistema Headquarters, and several moments of our concerts. The pictures were also taken with my Tecno Pova II, some selfies and others taken by my coworkers and hivers friends @jhoxiris, @douz and @kimberlycmq. I hope everyone liked it. I wrote this post with a lot of love. Thank you very much for all the support. I say goodbye leaving some more images that I keep in my heart of this great experience, because as my brother Omar from @musicandreview told me in my worst moment of sadness and tiredness during this event: "it's not every day you sing with Oscar de León"...

En el video que les he compartido en la parte superior de este post les presento una pequeña edición en el programa Shotcut de varias historias que realicé durante esa semana desde la llegada de Oscar de León a nuestra Sede de El Sistema, y varios momentos de nuestros conciertos. Las fotografías también fueron tomadas con mi Tecno Pova II, algunos selfies y otras que me han tomado mis compañeros de trabajo y amigos hivers @jhoxiris, @douz y @kimberlycmq.
