Hello hive afritunes, I wish you all a happy Christmas in advance. I am very glad that the community came up with this event for the Christmas celebration. It is indeed fascinating to hear Christmas songs in different dialects, my ears are itching to hear what hivers have to offer.
I wish to participate in the event by presenting the cover of the song "Abu Umu Anu (Domestic Animals Carol)" by Laz Ekwueme a Nigerian Composer. I bet that you will enjoy the song. I may not do well enough to present it according to the composer's mind but the bit I will offer is sure going to be enough to fascinate you. It may sound somehow funny😅 but that's African tunes for you. Again I hope my ogas @onos-f and @ksam in particular will find this worthy of an entry.
The song is about the birth of Jesus in a manger. It tells how the animals celebrated Jesus' birth by their unique sounds. I love the song so much and immediately I saw the notice of the Christmas even for the community, my mind went straight to the song.
The song reminds me that even if I don't worship the Lord, the animals and other species of creation would do so. Thus, I shouldn't feel like I am indispensable but do my duties as God's creature by rendering due honor to Him at all times.
I actually found it difficult trying to write the translation from Igbo to English but thank God I made it. It may not be perfect, so pardon me and correct me where necessary for those who understands the language better. Thank you.
