Afritunes One Year Anniversary on Hive || Jesus Akamdinelu (Mercy Chinwo) || Cover by @jesus-son

Hello Hive afritunes community, in the spirit of the celebration of the one year anniversary of afritunes community on the hive blockchain, I send a warm hug to all of you. My name is @jesus-son and I come with my entry for #afriversary.

First of all, I want to be very grateful to God for the opportunities He brings to me such as this, a platform that rewards my passion. I also appreciate the #hive-bootcamp led by @starstrings01 who introduced some of us to the system and on boarded some of us who were counted worthy after some training. Then getting to hive, I sought for a suitable community where I can relax, catch fun and still be rewarded and @afri-tunes was introduced to me by @onos-f and later guided by @ksam and so the journey began and here I am celebrating with the big-guys.

It is indeed a thing of joy for me and I guess the entire member of the community to celebrate this event. On behalf of the admin and the moderators of the community I render a sincere sentiment of gratitude to God for having led us thus far on the hive blockchain. I know it has not been easy for those running the activity of this community at the background and so I appreciate them for their efforts and pray for God’s favors on them.

In the Euphoria of this event I have decided that it is God who deserves to be praisd the more. Thus, I bring a cover of the song by Mercy Chinwo titled 'Jesus Akamdinelu' meaning 'Jesus, my hands are up in adoration to you'. It is a beautiful song and I find it very apt for this kind of celebration.

I was inspired to present this song by the thought of all that God has been doing for me and for us. Indeed, we cannot count more than one favor we have received in life without the mention of God.

We may look left, right and centre at the times we have been in need and conclude that it is only God who has not disappointed us. Our friends and families may have failed but God cannot fail us. Therefore a song of this nature becomes very necessary at this time and even at every other moment of our lives.

In doing this cover, I used my piano and sang along as I played and later tried to do a backup voice to make it a duet. I enjoyed myself while singing and so I invite you all to enjoy with me.

I also want to thank the @afri-tunes community for the gift of the polo for this celebration. For me it is a grace to be among the favored ones and so I am really grateful.
