Hive is an interesting blockchain that gives users the chance to share their thoughts and passion through writing. It also has different dapps which are also known as the frontends, and they are peakd, ecency, 3speak, leofinance, etc.
For the fourth newbies initiative task, we have been asked to talk about our favorite app, why we love it, and what we think the app needs to improve on.
My hive account was created using the peakd frontend, and as the experiences of every other newbies, it was difficult at first for me to find my way around but with time, I got to understand the basics and found out that I could log in to my hive account through the other front ends like ecency, hive.blog, 3speak, etc.
The feeling was amazing. I like the ecency frontend because of the ecency points users earn which can be used in promoting a post.
I don't use the 3speak dapp for creating posts because editing and formatting on there tend to be impossible for me, I only publish my post through this dapp only when I want to upload a video. The benefit of uploading a video via 3speak is that you earn crypto for it, also your videos get saved on the blockchain.
I've created posts using these dapps, but I must confess that my favorite remains peakd. I guess it's because I'm used to it, I understand it better and prefer it to others.
The design is nice, it's easy to understand, and it's just perfect for me. To be honest, I think that the app is okay. An upgrade was recently applied to the dapp which made it more user-friendly and attractive.
Accessing the hive engine through the dapp isn't difficult, I think that peakd makes blogging on the hive blockchain easy.
The devs behind this dapp are doing a great job. Maybe later in the future, there would be something that needs to be added or removed from the dapp because the technology advances every day. However, at the moment, all I can say is that everything seems good.
I uploaded a video attached to this post in response to the newbies initiative task 4.
