Thank you for the opportunity to participate in this week's live performance at the Hive Open Mic, with the theme DNA by @stickupboys.

To be honest, I struggled to come up with a song to fit the theme when I first saw it. However, I came up with a song titled 'I Know Who I Am' by Sinach not long after that.

Several days ago, I read a story about a married woman who wanted to research her family tree deeply. While doing so, the couple, who had been married for 17 years with three children, discovered that they were cousins. They have lived together with their three children for 17 years.

According to the woman, she and her husband have moved on ever since then because their children do not suffer from genetic disorders.

Also, she encouraged couples to check their heritage. This is because couples who share a similar heritage have an increased chance of passing on genetic disorders to their children. By checking their heritage, couples can be aware of any potential genetic issues that may arise and take the necessary steps to prevent them.

Truthfully, I cannot imagine what I would do if I learned that my husband and I are cousins after spending decades together.

My song talks about who we are individually in Christ. As a child of God, I believe you are as well.

Who am I?

I'm gracious, I'm like a phoenix, I'm compassionate, I'm a decent person, I'm God's behold, and I'm living God's purpose for my life.

To fulfill this purpose, I'm going to practice mindfulness, so that's who I am.

Through mindfulness, I will strive to live up to my highest potential, and I will make a positive impact on this world.

Since God is my heavenly father, we share the same DNA.

This means that I share the same spiritual heritage with others who are also children of God.

We are all part of His family, connected through the same source.

It is our responsibility to ensure that we use this connection to spread love, kindness, and compassion.

The Bible tells us that we are all created in God's image and that we are all part of His family.

We should strive to be a family that supports one another and works together to make the world a better place.
