Greetings Hive Learners community, today is another creative Sunday and I am excited to share this piece with you all. The first time I watched the music video of 'Te Amor by Rihanna' I took it that the song was talking about a female who is in love with her female friend. That's lesbianism you know.
Another thing I understood was that the other female wasn't interested in that kind of love.
Before I wrote this post, I did a little research to understand what the story meant.
After checking, I was surprised that what I assumed was what it was. Rihanna tells a story of a female friend who said I love you to her.
In the story, she made her friend understand that she likes her as a friend on a platonic level but not the way her friend was talking.
The music video captured the scene well.
Also, I was supposed to sing this song last week but I changed my mind and went for Man Down.
Rihanna's songs were most of the songs I listened to and scored when I was younger. I guess that is because I love Rihanna's style of singing and the ways she tells interesting stories with her songs.
Usually, when I recorded my video, I don't use the audio in that video. What I do is record audio on Audacity, and if necessary, I remove background noise and then add a little reverb before editing the video using the Inshot app on my phone.
This video was recorded on Friday evening, but the editing and audio were done on Sunday evening. What I enjoyed most while recording was the fact that there was no one in the house to distract me with noise.
Another thing is that the state of mine I was in while recording the video is completely different from the one I was in while doing the audio.
Yesterday, I lost my cousin to kidney disease and today I ended the relationship I have with my fiancee due to infidelity. It's a long story.
But since I had already recorded the video before al these happened, I just have to write the post, edit the video and publish it.
I am surprised that despite this emotional breakdown, I am still able to publish the post.
It's probably because staying idle and thinking about it will only make things worse for me. So, I rather channel the energy to something positive.
I hope you enjoy listening.
Te amo, te amo
She says to me
I hear the pain in her voice
Then we danced underneath the candelabra
She takes the lead
That's when I saw it in her eyes, it's over
Then she said te amo
Then she put her hand around my waist
I told her no
She cried te amo
I told her I'm not gonna run away
But let me go
My soul is awry
Without asking why
I said te amo
Wish somebody'd tell me what she said.
Doesn't it mean I love you?
Think it means I love you
Doesn't it mean I love you?
