Unlimited Grilling At Goryeo's Korean BBQ House | I Rated It 1 -Most Favorite

Last Monday after attending a Mental Health Awareness seminar, I and my workmates slash close friends went out for dinner somewhere near my place, to also have some sort of catching up over food as for the past few months, that was the only day that our schedules met since the start of the alternative work arrangement.

We agreed to go back to our all-time favorite Korean BBQ house that was just a few meters away from where we had our seminar. We had Samgyupsal, our top pick when it comes to grilled food. We hadn't done this kind of thing - like talking while busy grilling the food over fire, for quite a long time. Good thing, we all had the seminar on the same day.

We went to Goryeo, the name of the BBQ house. We arrived there at half-past 4 in the afternoon. We were the only diners at that time. It was a Monday then, so it was somehow expected.

Goryeo is just a small Korean BBQ house located at Maribago, Lapu-Lapu City, besides Shangs Island Town Center, and across Jpark Island Resort and Waterpark. This tiny house is just along the main road, making it very much visible, and easier to find.

Goryeo really has just a limited space that it could only cater to a maximum of 16 pax at a time. It only has 8 small tables for two arranged in rows, maximizing the restaurant's tiny space.

As I entered the house, the very first thing that I had noticed was their floating shelves displaying different kinds of Island souvenir items from snack packs to herbal items.

At the rear side is Goryeo's secret-like little kitchen with a tiny door that somewhat blends in with the wall, making it not so much noticeable. The first time I went there, I was really wondering where their kitchen is up until staff came out from a corner which I thought was just a part of the entire wall. Or, I was not just paying much attention to things in there that time.

Near the door to the kitchen is their washing area, where they had the portable sink. And beside it is another shelf made of glass displaying their varied kinds of food supplements, organic body soaps, and similar others.

Goryeo's Menu

Goryeo offers a wide array of Korean food selections that definitely taste nothing but authentic Korean dishes. They have the famed Unlimited Samgyupsal which comes with a bowl of seafood soup and plates of tasty side dishes.

The side dishes included the pickled yellow and white radish, Japchae (Glass noodle), Kimchi, Rolled egg, Fish cake, and Brown sugar-coated Sweet Potato.

And of course, the Samgyupsal serving would never be complete without the Lettuce, Garlic, Finger pepper, and condiments like Ssamjang and Gochujang.

Included also in this unlimited meal are unlimited bowls of rice.

Aside from the most availed unlimited Samgyupsal in Goryeo, they also offer Korean specials in Ala carte. They have Tteokbokki, Korean Fried Chicken, Kimbap, Bibimbap, and some others. Well, they also include in their menu Filipino dishes like Sizzling Sisig, Butter Sauce Shrimp, Calamares, and more.

Dinner Time!

As I had mentioned earlier, we had Samgyupsal. Per head, we paid Php 330.00. Not bad for all the side dishes that come with the set, plus they're unlimited which definitely means your tummy is your boss, you can ask and ask till you're full.

By the way, their Samgyupsal also comes with plain and marinated Chicken. That's definitely a plus for the choices.

Now, if I were to rate the Samgyupsal restaurants I've been to from 1 as the most favorite to 5 as the least, I would give 1 to Goryeo.
