I m glad to be joining this week.. soon we ll be at week 130 and I have a huge surprise for you all..

But here this week we got a very interesting topic TRUST.

MY POV

Trust is really not what many people think it to be. In my original song titled "Gimme you" I said a line there that

"faith that make promises base on a promise"

That line depicts a huge amount of trust to me.

Trust is going all out the word or promise of another.

Trust is putting in the work reing sure that he who had promised will fulfil.

Trust is making sure that all our senses and inclination are wholly in the hands of someone who has given a promise and an instruction that follows.

Like always, I will bring a biblical perspective to this, when God makes a promise, he expects that we walk in a certain way for us to recieve that promise because his word is an authority and if he says it will happen it does. He also lays down certain rudiments for us to comply and some which if we err we will not recieve what was promised.

Trust is us following the instructions carefully with ONLY THE HOPE of receiving the promise and not the rules itself. This here is what trust is. Because God has said it. So when we trust God we should also obey him. So you can't trust without obeying.

TRUST AND OBEY

You can never really trust without obeying, trust is not a passive word, it is active in all its ways. You don't just trust and sit down at home, doing nothing.

Obeying God is more primary, how do you know you trust a person? obedience.

How does a person know you trust him? Obedience.

People kinda think by saying I trust, that means the world, no it doesn't. Obey what he says.

Loyalty and love are most twined with the word Trust and this is always the matter when 2 people walk together. They must agree to trust each other and willing to comply to the set precepts of trust.

Again, trust is an action word, just like love.

This song I bring this week is yet another from my beloved Casting Crowns. I ve been doing mostly covers of them, probably to showcase them and hoping more people will like them like I do.

They were my first Gospel group I loved and ever since, still love their work. It always resonates with my spirit and I found them easy to learn too.

The song I chose is titles "Praise you in the storm". Bringing this to the table of trust. Let no one think that the journey of trusting is a rosie laden path.. there ll be times when it does seem like what you were expecting is not what you re having, when the promise seems to have failed and you can't seem to find a hold on it. That's when you have the test of Trust. Will you hold on or just give up? will you stay or just walk away?

A lot of people walk away to a path of least resistance, they don't want trouble for themselves so they just avoid what we call wahala in Nigeria. One thing is sure though, praising God even in the storms of life is an absolute show of trusting him and keeping on with his directions, trusting the process and bringing Glory to God.
