MUSIC: Three Tune Tuesday 81 - 3 Songs about "Being Sorry"! (2 Covers + 1 Original!)

Hello everybody on HIVE, and especially the Music Community. My name is Jasper and I'm writing (and singing) to you from Cape Town, South Africa.

This is my 16th week contributing to "Three Tune Tuesday", started by @ablaze. It is week 81 overall!

I am trying to stick to a set pattern, where I perform 2 cover songs (written by famous artists) and 1 original song (written by me) around a theme. This week I would like to pick the theme of "Being Sorry"!

The first song I'm going to try is "Come Back to Bed" by John Mayer on his "Heavier Things" album. I think this is one of his more under-rated songs... what do you think? Here is the original version:

The second cover song I'm going to try is "Jealous Guy" which is an absolute classic by John Lennon of the Beatles fame. John Lennon had a brilliant solo career after the Beatles. His most famous song by far as a solo artist is "Imagine", but there were many other magnificent songs like "Working Class Hero", "Mother" and this one! Here is the original version with its beautiful piano:

Finally, for my own song about "Being Sorry", here's an original one I have written called "Stay". It lands up using the 4-chord miracle structure, which makes it sound quite like pop by my standards, hahaha!

**Before I go: My good friend @clairemobey is a fantastic singer and songwriter. She is the person I perform in public with as a collaborative duo called MobeyDick (we sing original songs written by both of us). Unfortunately, Claire doesn't have a decent guitar of her own, and this gets in the way of practising and writing new songs! In better news, we have found a competition that a local music shop is running where a beautiful guitar is the prize. Entrants had to come and sing original songs at the shop, and the video with the most views wins!
