HIVE OPEN MIC #149 (ENG/ESP) Light of the World: "Full Force Gale" by Van Morrison

Hello everybody on Hive and especially the Hive Open Mic Community! My name is Jasper and I'm writing (and singing) to you from Cape Town in South Africa!

This is Week 149 of the Hive Open Mic Challenge, and the theme for the week is “Light of the World”!

I think the phrase “Light of the World” lends itself to religious or spiritual songs that praise God. In the Bible, Jesus referred to Himself with that very phrase.

Of my favourite artists, the one that ventures into that space quite often is that grumpy old leprechaun from Ireland with the fantastic powerful voice, otherwise known as Van Morrison! I have already done one of his spiritual songs called “Whenever God Shines his Light”, but Van Morrison is most famous for songs like “Brown Eyed Girl”, which is an absolute classic, and “Have I Told You Lately”, which was successfully cover by Rod Stewart.

I thought I would try and cover one of his more energetic and even “bouncy” songs that praises the Lord, called “Full Force Gale”:

¡Esta es la semana 149 del Hive Open Mic Challenge, y el tema de la semana es "Light of the World"!

Creo que la frase “Luz del Mundo” se presta a canciones religiosas o espirituales que alaban a Dios. En la Biblia, Jesús se refirió a sí mismo con esa misma frase.

De mis artistas favoritos, el que se aventura en ese espacio con bastante frecuencia es ese viejo duende gruñón de Irlanda con una voz fantástica y poderosa, ¡también conocido como Van Morrison! Ya hice una de sus canciones espirituales llamada "Whenever God Shines his Light", pero Van Morrison es más famoso por canciones como "Brown Eyed Girl", que es un clásico absoluto, y "Have I Told You Lately", que fue cubierta con éxito por Rod Stewart.

Pensé en tratar de hacer una versión de una de sus canciones más enérgicas e incluso "animadas" que alaban al Señor, llamada "Full Force Gale":
