First #3Speak vLog - Thoughts and Musing with @Jasonbu

This is my first #3Speak effort as I try to find my grove and niche. And a Hive intro to the real me. I'm looking for hints and direction as I find my way on video content. #Hive is certainly exciting and I've found renewed energy behind it, in myself. Join me on my discovery.

I posted my first #3Speak video, super jazzed about it. I've always been a bit nervous about doing video. Not sure why. I speak in front of hundreds of people on a regular basis. I imagine my channel will have a bunch of different topics. I'm a Foodie, I'm a computer scientist, a dad, a writer-ish and a kid at heart. My wife is going to kill me (have a habit of deep-diving into things.)

00:14 Hey, there everyone this is @jasonbu. I hope you are all enjoying your time on #hive. I know I am, made the switch mostly over the last week still have a few things going on on Steam site so I, fortunately, have to kind of maintain my presence there for the time being but I am looking to fully switch to #hive. So, I was just kind of... thought that I would put together a video blog or log or vlog or whatever you want to call them and just kind of do a couple of shots or a couple of snippets throughout the day as I thought of things. Just kind of a kind of an ongoing video diary for the day.

I wanted to really try out 3speak. To me, it looks like a really great platform so I wanted to do something but I really don’t have a specific niche or to talk to or talk about I’m all over the place if you want to talk to me or chat with me about coffee and you know about military about anything those are some of the areas that I know about your cryptocurrency, data analytics those types of things, sure I can talk to you I get excited about you warehouses and infrastructure and things like that. For the most part, you know, I just want to kind of keep an ongoing vlog juts as things pop into my head especially with this #COVID-19 thing going on, like everybody else I'm stuck here in my basement lab, I call it, I've got my work computer, I’ve got my personal computer working from home. I do a lot of work from home anyhow so it’s really not much of a change for me.

02:14 But I did see a post recently just from @jayna and (here let me just throw these on) it was, "Will we hug again? Shake hands? Go to concerts?".

02:34 It got me thinking about what will the norm be that comes out of this, are we going to be, like she said, are we going to be going to concerts? Are we going to be hugging in public, are we going to be shaking hands? It’s, it’s just a huge paradigm shift that we’re all kind of thrown into and what’s going to happen once we come out of the crisis, when will we come out of the crisis.

03:00 So, this is just kind of you know things that I’m going to start to talk about something that I find interesting. I’m taking some of the WHO courses in terms of the how to manage coronavirus, IPC, those types of things just for my part-time stuff and then just trying to keep up to date on work and things like that in the normal type of thing. But what does it mean to us in terms of crowded places and how you’re going to perceive, you know, the handshake. So that's where I'm going, that's what I'm going to be doing. Flip in and out, stop and start and hopefully put all this together in post-production.

03:49 All right, so we’re back at it, not sure how disjointed this going to work out to be but you know I’m trying to kind of encapsulate most of the day. It’s lunchtime now just kind of thinking about things and so I want to hopefully, in the comments or with your own post, kind of ask questions about the things that you’re doing, what are you doing right now? Are you quarantined? Are you self-isolating? What about close calls? Do you know anybody that has COVID-19? I mean there’s a lot of things going on, questions; Have you gone out? Are you going to the supermarket? Are you going to the stores?

My wife and I are considering, you know, a trip out to the grocery store to pick up some supplies. We’ve got plenty of food and things like that but we’ve got a few things that we need to top up on. Is it smart for us to do that? What precautions should we take when we come back? What sort of things are you guys doing? We are looking at online options too so that we can just place an order and then go to the grocery store and just have it delivered to us in our car essentially.

Lots of things going on, I mean every day is something new pretty well, something new that we haven’t dealt with as a society, something new that you can see and what’s the outcome going to be of it. I see a lot of posts on #hive with "Week 1, Day 2", that type of thing. So, let’s see what you guys are doing. What are you doing to stay engaged with your community? Stay engaged with people online are you so late talking with people online? What is your actual physical Community doing? Stuff like that.

So let’s get a conversation going, keep it open and I guess just put your questions your answers in the comments and let’s see what we can do with this.

06:05 Alright so we're near the end of the day, day's gone through. Coronavirus, confirmed cases are up to 587,00, when I woke up this morning it was, I believe about 530,000. Just incredible, not sure what to think about that, other than our isolation doesn’t seem to be working? I don’t know.

#hive's twice as much as Steem. Must be driving Justin Sun nuts.

06:46 This afternoon by our government actually sent out an emergency broadcast,

06:57 - broadcast screenshot - over the emergency broadcast system to tell those people coming back from the U.S. that you’re supposed to be self-quarantine or self-isolating for 14 days, and you should better well know it. So not sure why people wouldn’t know it.

07:20 I think that's about it for today. This has been my first #3Speak kind of broadcast or thoughts or musings, whatever you want to call it.
