Esta es mi primera participación en el evento Splinterlands Art Contest Week 239

Pues en esta ocasión elabore un trazo inspirado en la carta

En mi caso, me gusta elaborar el trazo sobre hoja y bolígrafo, y me agrada grabar el proceso e ir narrando en directo lo que pienso mientras lo elaboro.

VERSION ENGLISH

In my case, I like to elaborate the stroke on paper and pen, and I like to record the process and narrate live what I think while I elaborate it.

Durante la elaboración en digital, me entraron dudas del color del personaje, ya que una tonalidad totalmente azul, no encajaba para mi (y si, se que ella es un ser de agua), pero quería hacer variaciones de tonos de coloreado, para darle un poco mas de individualidad al personaje.

During the digital elaboration, I had doubts about the color of the character, since a totally blue tonality didn't fit for me (and yes, I know she is a water being), but I wanted to make variations in the coloring tones, to give a little more individuality to the character.

Por ello cambien inicialmente el color de cabello de azul a verde, y le aplique un tono distinto al traje también, pero luego sentí que coloreaba a una villana de sailor moon con disfraz de marinera.

Así que pensé: ¿que hace una ninfa de mar o de rio?

Pues principalmente (las ninfas de mar, ayudan a los marineros a atravesar los mares, bien sea advirtiendo de peligros o ayudándolos a rutas seguras), osea todo lo contrario a una sirena de mar.

Pero, ¿podemos aplicar este concepto a una ninfa de río?.
Bueno según el folclor, son seres de la naturaleza, de aspecto juvenil, que están cerca de fuentes de agua, manantiales, posiblemente representen la fecundidad, pero solo los animales del bosque las ven.

So I initially changed the hair color from blue to green, and I applied a different tone to the costume as well, but then I felt like I was coloring a sailor moon villain "in a sailor costume".

So I thought: what does a sea or river nymph do?

Well, mainly (sea nymphs help sailors to cross the seas, either by warning them of dangers or helping them to safe routes), the opposite of a sea mermaid.

But can we apply this concept to a river nymph?
Well, according to folklore, they are beings of nature, of youthful appearance, who are near water sources, springs, possibly representing fertility, but only forest animals see them.

Así, que poniéndolo en planos realistas
¿hay gente que sobrevive a ahogarse en un río que creció por la lluvia arrastrando todas las cosas a su paso?...amm, posiblemente no.

Y pues por eso le cambie el color de cabello a un tono rojizo -purpura, ya que exalta un aspecto mas macabro, y le da una sensación de cuernos de animal al cabello.
Simbolizando, para mí, que estas chicas pueden ser seres también malvados, que buscan llevarse personas al fondo del río.

And that's why I changed the hair color to a reddish-purple tone, since it exalts a more macabre aspect, and gives a sense of animal horns to the hair.

Symbolizing, for me, that these girls can also be evil beings, who seek to take people to the bottom of the river.

Lógicamente como su cuerpo es liquido, "al representar seres de agua", cambie de nuevo la paleta de color del vestido a azul, pero esta vez a un tono mas color ceniza, para demostrar la (oscuridad y la perversión en ella).

bueno, no esta de mas una versión alterna, digo en Yugi existían 2 magos oscuros, uno amable y otro con aspecto mas siniestro.

Puede que como dejo volar mi imaginación, tanto al hacer el boceto en hoja, como en digital, me gusta jugar con (tratar de entender el personaje a dibujar y los colores que pueda tener, según su moralidad y la historia que nosotros imaginemos), en este caso: ser un ente de agua de río...que como explique, "puede que no sea un ser amable y juguetón, si no algo que quiere tu alma en el fondo del río".

Am, se que no son trazos muy profesionales, pero es lo que puedo hacer a base usar el ratón en Pc, con un equipo muy limitado con W7 de 32 Bites.

Así que bueno, intentare mejorar cuando adquiera mas herramientas para hacerlo mejor.
Puede que lleve tiempo, pero es mi objetivo por el que entre a Hive.

Logically as her body is liquid, "representing water beings", I changed again the color palette of the dress to blue, but this time to a more ashy tone, to show the (darkness and perversion in her).

Well, it doesn't hurt to have an alternate version, I mean in Yugi there were 2 dark magicians, one kind and the other with a more sinister aspect.

Maybe because I let my imagination fly, both when making the sketch on paper, as in digital, I like to play with (try to understand the character to draw and the colors that may have, according to their morality and the story that we imagine).

In this case: being a river water entity ... that as I explained, "may not be a kind and playful being, if not something that wants your soul at the bottom of the river".

Am, I know they are not very professional strokes, but it's what I can do using the mouse in Pc, with a very limited equipment with W7 of 32 Bites.

So well, I will try to improve when I acquire more tools to do it better.

It may take time, but it is my goal why I joined Hive.
