Hola amigos de la comunidad de Celf Magazine, en esta oportunidad quiero compartir con ustedes mi experiencia el día de ayer como asistente o ayudante en una sesión fotográfica llevada a cabo por mi amiga fotógrafa @nayshot, en la que aproveché para registrar gran parte de la sesión y hacer una especie de tras cámaras.

Mi amiga me pidió el día anterior que la acompañara a realizar una sesión fotográfica para una de nuestras viejas compañeras de estudio, ahora modelo. Mi tarea sería principalmente encargarme del rebotador de luz, así como, acompañarlas en el lugar planificado que resulta un poco solitario y retirado. Así que bien temprano a eso de las 8:15 am pasaron por mí.

La temática de esta sesión fotográfica estaba relacionada con la realeza, la modelo inicialmente quería llevar a cabo su sesión con utilería tal como un trono y una corona, quería destacar el color dorado, e interpretar a una reina. Sin embargo, esta utilería no resulta fácil de conseguir, y finalmente para no seguirle dando largas a la sesión fotográfica que se había venido postergando, decidió cambiar su concepto, y hacer el papel como de Reina o Diosa del Sol, en un entorno natural, un lugar árido en el que el color dorado tomara protagonismo en un entorno de colores marrones y arenosos.

Una vez en el sitio, la modelo y fotógrafa empezaron a evaluar las áreas disponibles y más convenientes para lograr lo que querían plasmar, había altos montículos de arena y laderas con mucha erosión, ser quería que hubiese poca vegetación verde, pero parecía que había crecido vegetación recientemente, por lo que debieron buscar los lugares con menos vegetación. Una vez ubicados los puntos, la modelo tomó sus cosméticos para maquillarse y se colocó unas extensiones de cabello rubio casi blanco, y la fotógrafa la ayudó con algunos detalles para darle la tonalidad correcta a la piel. Mientras tanto yo me aventuré a explorar los entornos para tomar algunas fotografías de la naturaleza en el lugar, capturé con la cámara de mi teléfono algunas flores e insectos.

Una vez lista la modelo pusimos manos a la obra y tomé el rebotador para darle luminosidad a la modelo, lamentablemente el sol estaba oculto, perjudicando un poco el resultado que la fotógrafa y la modelo querían conseguir, pero como hay que trabajar con lo que se tiene, lo llevaron a cabo de esa manera.

Una corona de flores era el accesorio más llamativo del atuendo, y sentada sobre un montículo de tierra realizaron los primeros disparos de la sesión fotográfica. Allí mientras sostenía el rebotador como pude hice algunas fotografías y algunos videos con el teléfono. Luego de realizar varios disparos en esa locación, nos movimos un par de metros por un camino, en donde se podrían apreciar las laderas erosionadas, allí el accesorio principal fue un velo dorado, con el que buscaron lograr una escena interesante lanzándolo al aire.

Me gustó como la vestimenta de la modelo se acoplaba perfectamente a los colores del entorno, y utilizando la parte dorada del rebotador, la tonalidad de la piel de la modelo adoptada un brillo dorado.

En un momento fue inevitable prestar atención a unos gavilanes que sobrevolaban las zona haciendo bastante ruido, y me sorprendió encontrarme con un ave completamente camuflada en el suelo, que pude notar solo cuando levantó vuelo al yo cruzar por donde se encontraba y a la cual no pude identificar, ni por su forma ni por su canto.

La sesión fotográfica tuvo una duración aproximada de 2 horas, habiendo obtenido los resultados deseados, procedimos a recoger las herramientas para esperar un taxi en la salida de este árido paraje. Siempre le he dicho a mi amiga que su trabajo no parece trabajo, y que es un sueño poder vivir de aquello que nos apasiona y ella lo ha cumplido.

My friend asked me the day before to accompany her to do a photo shoot for one of our old studio mates, now a model. My task would be mainly to take care of the light bouncer, as well as, accompany them in the planned location which happens to be a bit lonely and secluded. So bright and early at about 8:15 am they picked me up.

The theme of this shoot was related to royalty, the model initially wanted to carry out her shoot with props such as a throne and crown, she wanted to highlight the golden color, and play a queen. However, this props are not easy to get, and finally to not keep delaying the photo shoot that had been postponed, she decided to change her concept, and play the role of a Queen or Sun Goddess, in a natural environment, an arid place where the golden color would take center stage in an environment of brown and sandy colors.

Once on site, the model and photographer began to evaluate the available and most suitable areas to achieve what they wanted to capture, there were high mounds of sand and slopes with a lot of erosion, they wanted there to be little green vegetation, but it seemed that vegetation had grown recently, so they had to look for places with less vegetation. Once the spots were located, the model took her makeup cosmetics and put on some almost white blonde hair extensions, and the photographer helped her with some details to give her the right skin tone. Meanwhile I ventured out to explore the surroundings to take some pictures of the nature on site, I captured with my camera phone some flowers and insects.

Once the model was ready we got to work and I took the bouncer to give luminosity to the model, unfortunately the sun was hidden, damaging a little the result that the photographer and the model wanted to get, but as you have to work with what you have, they carried it out that way.

A flower crown was the most striking accessory of the outfit, and sitting on a mound of earth they took the first shots of the photo shoot. There while holding the bouncer as I could I took some pictures and some videos with the phone. After taking several shots in that location, we moved a couple of meters down a road, where you could see the eroded hillsides, there the main accessory was a golden veil, with which they sought to achieve an interesting scene by throwing it in the air.

I liked how the model's outfit perfectly matched the surrounding colors, and by using the golden part of the bouncer, the model's skin tone took on a golden glow.

At one point it was inevitable to pay attention to some sparrowhawks flying over the area making a lot of noise, and I was surprised to find a bird completely camouflaged on the ground, which I could notice only when it took flight when I crossed where it was and which I could not identify, neither by its shape nor by its song.

The photo session lasted approximately 2 hours, having obtained the desired results, we proceeded to pick up the tools to wait for a cab at the exit of this arid spot. I have always told my friend that her work does not seem like work, and that it is a dream to be able to live from what we are passionate about, and she has fulfilled it.
