Hola amigos de Hive, hoy quiero compartir con ustedes lo que fue mi experiencia en un evento musical y artístico realizado en Bordes Café, el cual se llevó a cabo como movimiento antitaurino, motivado por las recientes Ferias de San Sebastián, que se celebran en mi ciudad San Cristóbal, Venezuela, en donde cada año la población asiste a las famosas corridas de toros.

Hello friends of Hive, today I want to share with you what was my experience in a musical and artistic event held at Bordes Café, which took place as an anti-bullfighting movement, motivated by the recent San Sebastian Fairs, held in my city San Cristobal, Venezuela, where every year the population attends the famous bullfights.

Este evento dio cabida a distintas formas de expresión artística, entre ellas la danza, poesía teatral, y gráfica. Fui espectador de los diferentes grupos musicales que se presentaron, entre ellos Phantom Lord, con su tributo a Metallica, el cual pueden escuchar en el video, Medinah, quienes versionaron rock en español argentino, y sorprendieron con un Plus al cantar Basket Case de Green Day, de igual forma se presentó un grupo nuevo de chicos bastante jóvenes, que no estaba en la planificación, pero que al ser un espacio libre para la expresión del arte se le permitió presentarse.

This event gave space to different forms of artistic expression, including dance, theatrical poetry, and graphics. I was a spectator of the different musical groups that performed, among them Phantom Lord, with their tribute to Metallica, which you can listen to in the video, Medinah, who covered rock in Argentinean Spanish, and surprised with a Plus by singing Basket Case by Green Day, as well as a new group of quite young chichos, who were not in the planning, but since it was a free space for the expression of art, they were allowed to perform.

Phantom Lord cerró el evento con su magnífica presentación versionanado a Metallica, tocaron canciones sumamente icónicas de la banda como Seek And Destroy, Master of Puppets, Whiskey in the Jar, The Unforgiven, And Justice for All, entre otros.

Phantom Lord closed the event with their magnificent cover version of Metallica, playing some of the band's most iconic songs such as Seek And Destroy, Master of Puppets, Whiskey in the Jar, The Unforgiven, And Justice for All, among others.

De igual forma, hizo su exposición en artista plástico y diseñador gráfico, Ronalt Ruiz, quien presentó una serie dibujos de animales bastante impresionantes, ofreciendo sus servicios para la enseñanza de esta disciplina, y el diseño gráfico publicitario. A continuación pueden observar algunas imágenes de sus dibujos, pueden encontrar a este artista a través de su instragram en @ruizronalt.art. También expuso su arte Flo y su caja de Zapatos, una chica que realiza muy bonitas ilustraciones las cuales pueden encontrar en instagram en @cajadezapatosporflo

Similarly, the plastic artist and graphic designer Ronalt Ruiz, who presented a series of quite impressive drawings of animals, offered his services for the teaching of this discipline, and advertising graphic design. Also exhibiting her art was Flo and her Shoe box, a girl who makes very nice illustrations which you can find on instagram at @cajadezapatosporflo

También hizo su participación en proyecto ave, quienes se han encargado de documentar todas las especies que existen en nuestra zona geográfica, ofreciendo, afiches y almanaques presentando la diversidad de aves.

The bird project, which has been in charge of documenting all the species that exist in our geographic area, also participated in the project, offering posters and almanacs presenting the diversity of birds.

Por supuesto se llevó a cabo una recolección de firmas en rechazo a las corridas de toros, a la que sin dudarlo firmé, aun consciente de lo difícil que es, pues existen muchos intereses políticos y económicos de por medio, así como una larga tradición cultural, y en un país como Venezuela, aunque duela este tipo de intereses siempre van a prevalecer.

Of course there was a collection of signatures in rejection of bullfighting, which I signed without hesitation, even though I was aware of how difficult it is, because there are many political and economic interests involved, as well as a long cultural tradition, and in a country like Venezuela, although it hurts, these types of interests will always prevail.

Para mí fue una magnifica noche de buena música junto a mi chica y mis amigos, Café Bordes se ha convertido en un importante espacio para la actividad cultural, es un lugar único en la ciudad, que está permitiendo la manifestación y el fomento de nuestras expresiones culturales en la región.

For me it was a magnificent night of good music together with my girl and my friends, Café Bordes has become an important space for cultural activity, it is a unique place in the city, which is allowing the manifestation and promotion of our cultural expressions in the region.
