It is not kyiv, nor Damascus and much less Jerusalem, it is Caracas, the capital of Venezuela that wakes up with the roar of bombing sirens, a warning that in these lands is unusual and even unknown to most of the inhabitants, in this Opportunity is about civic-military exercises that seek to prepare the population to respond to any situation that drives our country into a war. I live in a large building near the government palace, and a few meters from two large military barracks, so you could say that I am used to seeing soldiers, military equipment and exercises of all kinds, but this was the first time I heard that siren, which emits a deep sound that conveys a feeling of nervousness and restlessness, for a moment I could imagine how it would feel to be right in the middle of a war front, with planes passing between the buildings, the missiles falling on the buildings and the sound of gunshots everywhere. Fortunately this is another reality, we can still enjoy living in a land where peace is the protagonist and where these sounds only cause curiosity and are only the warning of the start of some exercises that seek to keep our army and the population prepared in the face of any situation.

No es Kiev, tampoco Damasco y mucho menos Jerusalén, es Caracas la capital de Venezuela que se despierta con el estruendo de las sirenas de bombardeo, un aviso que en estas tierras es poco usual y hasta desconocido para la mayoría de los habitantes, en esta oportunidad se trata de unos ejercicios cívico militares que buscan ir preparando a la población para responder ante cualquier situación que impulse a nuestro país dentro de una guerra. Yo vivo en un gran edificio cerca del palacio de gobierno, y a pocos metros de dos grandes cuarteles militares, por lo tanto se podría decir que estoy acostumbrado a ver soldados, equipos militares y ejercicios de todo tipo, pero esta fue la primera vez que escuchaba esa sirena, la cual emite un sonido profundo que transmite una sensación de nerviosismo he inquietud, por un momento me pude imaginar cómo se sentiría estar justo en medio de un frente de guerra, con aviones pasando por entre los edificios, los misiles cayendo sobre los edificios y el sonido de los disparos por todos lados. Afortunadamente esta es otra realidad, aún podemos disfrutar de vivir en una tierra en donde la paz es la protagonista y en donde estos sonidos solo causan curiosidad y son solo el aviso del inicio de unos ejercicios que buscan mantener preparado a nuestro ejército y a la población ante cualquier situación.
