Hello to all the colleagues of this beautiful Hive community!!

Today we will talk about how important it is to have a good self-esteem because it allows you to believe in yourself and your possibilities and thus achieve the goals you want.

And if you were born with a good self-esteem I congratulate you! But if not, don't worry because rebuilding a damaged self-esteem is also possible!!

Sometimes, we can feel insecure about our abilities or think that we are failures, but that does not have to be the case. And although regaining self-esteem is difficult, it can be achieved with effort and determination.

    KEYS TO RECOVER YOUR SELF-ESTEEM

Rebuilding self-esteem is a process that requires daily effort. Therefore, people can gain self-esteem and confidence by working on themselves every day. To regain your confidence, I recommend that you put the following points into practice:

1.- Find positive relationships: When people feel supported by friends and family, it is easier to let go of negative thoughts that can diminish our self-esteem and security. You must have people by your side who support you and who allow you to improve.

2.- Do things you enjoy: The best way to develop self-esteem is to spend more time doing activities that make you feel better. In this way, you will not only enjoy your company more, but you will also strengthen your ability to differentiate yourself from others, which will help you regain your self-esteem.

3.- Celebrate every little success: Sometimes we don't realize that we have a lot to celebrate and we tend to focus more on what we perceive as failures instead of seeing all our daily work and small successes. Minimizing these failures and maximizing what you do or are good at in your daily routine can go a long way toward achieving and rebuilding your self-esteem. Pay more attention to each positive result and not so much to the negative that you usually focus on

4.- Talk to yourself as if you were a friend: People who do not have a healthy self-esteem often suffer from negative self-talk. This means that their inner thoughts often speak to them as if they were an abusive person. To restore our self-esteem, we must change the way we treat ourselves. A good exercise you can do to regain your confidence is to talk to yourself as if you were talking to a friend and that way you will stop being so hard on yourself.

5.- Eliminate negative thoughts from your mind: when a person has low self-esteem, their thoughts usually reflect constant negativity. That is why you must learn to deal with these types of thoughts in order to recover your self-esteem. The best way to accomplish this is to challenge these kinds of thoughts and replace them with a more positive version.

6.- Practice healthy habits: Our mind reflects our physical and mental health. For this reason, you should not forget about your body when it comes to recovering your self-esteem and personal confidence. When we strive to live a healthy lifestyle, we better prepare our bodies to meet the challenges of each day. Eating much more nutritious food, being physically active, getting enough sleep, or taking better care of your physical and psychological health can help you with this.

7.- Find out who you are: Although we think we know each other, the reality is that we don't spend enough time to find out who we really are. If you dedicate this time to yourself, you will realize the good things you have, values or skills that can help you regain self-esteem and have more personal confidence.

8.- Dedicate yourself to what most defines you as a person: people with low self-esteem often have a long list of things they can't do. In fact, they often have misconceptions about what they can do. So if a person has low self-esteem, the best thing to do to get it back is to make a new list of priorities. For example, instead of concentrating on a thousand tasks at once, prioritize the ones that really matter to you.

9.- Value your body: The way we perceive our body is very often similar to the way we perceive ourselves. If you're hard on your body, you're probably hard on yourself. Instead of focusing on the negative aspects of your body, you can dedicate yourself to regaining your self-esteem or confidence by focusing on what you really appreciate about your body and improving it day by day.

10.- Do not apologize for everything: because everything bad that surrounds you is not your fault. People who need self-confidence often blame themselves for events beyond their control. Saying "sorry" about everything is not good for rebuilding self-esteem. Therefore, try to break the habit of apologizing all the time.

11.- Do not give in to your fears: People with low self-esteem often have many insecurities that involve suffering from irrational fears. To regain self-esteem it is important to stop giving in to these fears and that is why you must face them little by little.

12.- Eliminate the fear of failure: We all fear failure, but this fear is completely irrational. Learn to transform it into learning that will help you make better decisions in the future.

13.- Accept compliments: to gain self-esteem, you should try to accept compliments from the people around you. There are many times when people with unhealthy self-esteem tend to deny these compliments rather than accept them. Every time someone tells you something nice about yourself, enjoy it instead of denying it.

14.- Stop comparing yourself: And for that you must learn that everyone has a different version. Therefore, you can only compare your efforts with yourself because your personal goals are completely different from those of others.

15.- Go to therapy if you need it: Self-esteem is very important for you to get everything you've always wanted. If you do not have a healthy self-esteem it will be very difficult for you to enjoy the path to success.

For this reason, if you want to recover your self-esteem and you do not see yourself capable of doing it yourself, go to a professional.

Life is too beautiful to spend it sad and frustrated because you don't think you're capable of fighting for what you want and being happy.
