One of the weekly events in this #PukuMundo community is #singingvoice which has entered its 57th week. That means the Pukumundo Community is getting better and better. So, today, we are back again at the PukuConcurso LaVoz Cantante event for this week. The song we are playing today is a cover song called "I Wanna Be Sedated" written by Jeffrey Ross Hyman, known as Joey Ramone. He is the vocalist and founder of the band Ramones.

Así que hoy volvemos de nuevo al evento PukuConcurso LaVoz Cantante de esta semana. La canción que tocamos hoy es una versión llamada "I Wanna Be Sedated" escrita por Jeffrey Ross Hyman, conocido como Joey Ramone. Es el vocalista y fundador de la banda Ramones.

This song called I Wanna Be Sedated is a legendary song in the world of Punk music. However, I first heard it when I was a teenager, around 2007. At that time I was playing Guitar Hero on Play Station 1. The songs in the Guitar Hero game were cool, one of which was I Wanna Be Sedated sung by The Ramones. I learned more about The Ramones when I joined the Punk community. At music gigs organized by the Punk community, one of the local Rock N Roll bands performed songs by The Ramones. I was interested and they gave me an album by The Ramones. From then on, I knew The Ramones.

Esta canción llamada I Wanna Be Sedated es una canción legendaria en el mundo de la música Punk. Sin embargo, la escuché por primera vez cuando era adolescente, alrededor de 2007. Por aquel entonces jugaba al Guitar Hero en la Play Station 1. Las canciones del juego Guitar Hero eran geniales, y una de ellas era I Wanna Be Sedated, cantada por The Ramones. Conocí mejor a The Ramones cuando me uní a la comunidad punk. En los conciertos organizados por la comunidad punk, uno de los grupos locales de Rock N Roll tocaba canciones de The Ramones. Me interesó y me regalaron un álbum de The Ramones. A partir de entonces, conocí a los Ramones.

I don't know exactly what this song is about, but if you read the lyrics, it sounds like someone who is experiencing Withdrawal Syndrome. But, if we refer to the internet and other readings, there are many different explanations for the meaning of this song. Whatever the meaning conveyed by the songwriter, for me, this legendary song is still cool and will never die.
