    About :

Hello brothers and sisters, We are IndonesiaBersatu, a Punk Rock band from the city of Medan, Indonesia. We are back here to entertain you and also share the music videos we play in the #OpenMic Hive community which has entered its 138th week. We are grateful to be able to participate again in this weekly event with four complete members. So, this week's theme is “Magic" chosen by this week's spotlight artist @zullyscott. This is a very good and interesting theme, so we chose a song called “Negeri Sulap” in English “Magic Land” by Toni Q Rastafara.

Toni Q. Rastafara is a reggae singer from Bandung, Indonesia. Many say that Toni is the incarnation of Bob Marley who gives a message of peace to all creatures by singing and dancing reggae. The song that we are bringing today, entitled Land of Magic, is a satire on the State of Indonesia. It is called that because many cases of corruption and human rights violations committed by the authorities just disappear. No longer in the usury to completion. People who are victims of crime or victims of bullying can become suspects in court. Because of what? Because the victim cannot pay the prosecutor to defend the victim. This is the country of magic, from what exists can become nothing, and from what doesn't exist it can exist. It all depends on how much money is in your pocket.

    Indonesian Lyric

    Aku lahir di negeri sulap
    Aku besar di republik sulap
Negerinya pakar pesulap, suka menyulap apa saja
Dari gak ada hingga di ada-ada, dari yang ada hingga tiada

Bim salabim, bim salabim, abrakadabra, nggedebuzzz
    Bim salabim, bim salabim, abracadabra

    English Translate Lyric

I was born in a magic land
I grew up in the magic republic
The country is an expert magician, who likes to conjure anything
From nothing to nothing, from nothing to nothing

Bim salabim, bim salabim, abracadabra, nggedebuzzz
    Bim salabim, bim salabim, abracadabra

Even though the original version of the song is in the reggae genre, we brought this song with our version, namely Punk Rock. We choose Punk Rock music as our medium to speak out against oppression and demand liberation. We thought Reagge was like that too. The King of Reagge, namely Bob Marley, also made his music a medium for the struggle against the oppression that was happening at that time. People who want peace without oppression will usually know Bob Marley. And Indonesians with the same direction will also know Toni Q Rasatafara.

At first, the three of us would just play acoustic, but after a while, our Drummer came to the coffee shop where we used to hang out. Finally, we rented a music studio to make this video. This video was taken using a mirrorless camera and used the editing stage through Adobe Audition cc and Adobe Premiere Pro cc. That's all we can say, hope you like it and thank you. Peace to all of us.
