Hello, Pukumundo community and our beloved friends. Greetings and greetings of peace to all of us. Now PukuConcurso Singing Voice has entered its 27th week. This is proof that the rock music lover community is getting bigger and bigger. Today we as a punk rock band from Medan, Indonesia will play a cover of a song entitled “Pieces” by Sum 41.

Hola comunidad de Pukumundo y nuestros queridos amigos. Saludos y saludos de paz para todos nosotros. Ahora PukuConcurso Cantando Voz ha entrado en su semana 27. Esta es una prueba de que la comunidad de amantes de la música rock es cada vez más grande. Hoy, como banda de punk rock de Medan, Indonesia, tocaremos una versión de una canción titulada "Pieces" de Sum 41.

Sum 41 is one of our favorite bands. For those of you who don't know, we will give a little information about this band. Sum 41 is a punk rock band that we like. When I was a teenager, I loved skateboarding. While skateboarding, we played songs by Sum 41. They came from Canada, to be exact in Ontario. The band has four members, namely: Deryck Whibley, Dave Baksh, Jason McCaslin, and Steve Jocz. But in 2015, Frank Zummo replaced Steve Jocz as drummer.

Sum 41 es una de nuestras bandas favoritas. Para aquellos de ustedes que no saben, vamos a dar un poco de información acerca de esta banda. Sum 41 es una banda de punk rock que nos gusta. Cuando era adolescente, me encantaba andar en patineta. Mientras andábamos en patineta, tocamos canciones de Sum 41. Vinieron de Canadá, para ser exactos de Ontario. La banda tiene cuatro miembros, a saber: Deryck Whibley, Dave Baksh, Jason McCaslin y Steve Jocz. Pero en 2015, Frank Zummo reemplazó a Steve Jocz como baterista.

Today, we play the song Pieces which was composed by Sum 41 because this song is about a man who wants to change his life to be perfect, because of demands from his girlfriend or loved ones. Trying to be perfect is not easy. Being perfect is meaningless and worthless because we are not being ourselves. To be perfect for someone's sake is to lie to yourself.

Hoy tocamos la canción Pieces que fue compuesta por Sum 41 porque esta canción trata sobre un hombre que quiere cambiar su vida para ser perfecto, debido a las demandas de su novia o seres queridos. Intentar ser perfecto no es fácil. Ser perfecto no tiene sentido ni valor porque no estamos siendo nosotros mismos. Ser perfecto por el bien de alguien es mentirse a uno mismo.

Sometimes our girlfriends or those closest to us demand that we look perfect. And with all these demands, sometimes we never feel comfortable. This song seems to convey the songwriter's pain because his girlfriend or loved one is always required to be perfect so the songwriter feels empty, and tired of not being able to fulfil those demands.

A veces nuestras novias o las personas más allegadas a nosotros exigen que nos veamos perfectos. Y con todas estas exigencias, a veces nunca nos sentimos cómodos. Esta canción parece transmitir el dolor del cantautor porque a su novia o ser amado siempre se le exige que sea perfecto para que el cantautor se sienta vacío y cansado de no poder cumplir con esas exigencias.

To be perfect, and to be ideal, is a subject that has never been reached by any human being. Because there is no human being who has perfect nature in this world. Every human being has flaws and mistakes. So, for those of you who always demand your partner to look perfect, stop all these demands. Don't be sorry if your partner finally leaves because of all the demands you make.

Ser perfecto, y ser ideal, es un tema que nunca ha sido alcanzado por ningún ser humano. Porque en realidad no hay ser humano que tenga una naturaleza perfecta en este mundo. Todo ser humano tiene defectos y errores. Entonces, para aquellos de ustedes que siempre exigen que su pareja se vea perfecta, dejen todas estas exigencias. No te arrepientas si tu pareja finalmente se va por todas las exigencias que le haces.

We recorded this video in my bed room using a Cannon mirror camera. We edit sound recordings using Adobe Audition cc software to reduce the existing noise. After that, we put it back into the Adobe Premiere Pro cc software for cutting unnecessary footage. That's all we can say. We are United Indonesia, thank you very much to all of you. We love you.
