Jeritan Suara Rakyat (Original song) by Indonesia Bersatu

Hello brothers and sisters, We are a punk rock band, back here. This is our second post in this music community. Here we will introduce our original song entitled “Jeritan Suara Rakyat”, in English which means “Screams of the People's Voice”. This song was released on our third album in 2010.

Especially for this song, we made a musical arrangement that is far from Punk Rock elements. More directed to Dangdut music, because dangdut music is the music of the common people and is seen as not well established by other types of music such as Jazz, Pop, or Disco. This song tells about the condition of people who are marginalized, isolated, and ignored by the upper middle class.

Lower-class people often become victims of a political policy in their country. Many of them have lost their homes due to forced evictions, to land grabbing. The State, Political Parties, and Governments have turned a blind eye and ear when they plead for a decent life. However, when they move to rebel to demand their rights, the police and the military will intervene to arrest them. How unfair the State is to them. That's why we created this song.

We played this song in the music studio of our friend, Mita, who lives in Medan. We recorded it using a Cannon brand mirrorless camera. For the sound produced, I edited using Adobe Audition CC to reduce noise in the sound recording, and the final process of editing the video was using Adobe Premiere Pro CC software.
