"Technically Single Since Birth"

Haven't been feeling myself lately. I was drowning in my sadness and pain. Something happened that made me question about who I am. I didn't want to reject or suppress such emotions anymore so I decided to feel all of it to the point that I have stayed in my room for 5 days straight. No worries, I still ate something but I can't say they were healthy. I also have been binge-watching to fill those times when my mind was just blank. This morning I was feeling a bit better, a bit of myself, and a spark of positivity within my mind. And so I decided to come out from my cave of darkness.

I wanted to smile more and laugh more and what I usually do is turn to photos and videos that bring me a feeling of joy and happiness. One such video was the one I made for the wedding I attended a few months back. I wrote about it but of course, there is a difference between just reading compared to seeing the actual event. And so here I am sharing it with you. Perhaps it will bring a smile or a chuckle to your day as well.

The first part of this video was the "Single's Match Game" And to think, I'm too old for such but hey, I'm all for the fun! The host was asking some simple personal questions and all we had to do was just answer. I wasn't nervous at all as I always knew what to answer to such questions.

"Technically single since birth..." would always be my first response if someone asks me about my marital status just to mess up their brains. 😂 If you would ask me if this is true or why I'm not yet married? Don't honestly know or even care at this point in my life. All I know is I'm at peace right now with where I am at this point in life. Why rush?

Unfortunately, we are using a mix of English and our local dialect so the BISAYA people here would probably get the humor and punch lines.

The second part of the video was the Bridesmaids performance. Just a simple dance to the tune of "Let's Get Loud" though if it was just me, I would probably have gone for an Afro Latin Dance like Bachata. 😄 We didn't get to finish the whole dance as there was some confusion when the host interrupted thinking we were over but it was all good in the end.

The last scene of this video was an Impromptu Dance Party initiated by some of the guests or perhaps it was the groom and damn it was epic! I normally don't join in and just be a spectator but there was something different from this one. Everyone's joyous energy was infectious and it will pull you out of your seat and join in on the fun! Anyways, that's all for today. I intend to be less critical, kinder, and gentle with myself from now on. More happy days to come. 😉
