Happy new month to everyone,it's another week of hive open mic where we explore songs from all parts of the world.

It's week 164 of hive open mic, and we are to explore the theme "Hopeful'', which was chosen by our community's recent Spotlight Artist @jmis101.

I believe in God as my only hope, even when my hope is against hope.
For every situation there's a reason, God's plan can never be eluded, our hope in God is reciprocal. He also expects somethings from us, so our hope in Him can be fulfilled.

This song talks about how having hope in God works, cling to the old rugged cross, and we'll never be put to shame.
Clinging to the old rugged cross means trusting in God and surrendering to Him at at the end so our efforts will be crown.
I chose this song because of the lyrics content and context,it depicts a powerful meaning about how God works,our hope in Him will never be shamed ,if we follow His words.
