In the Hive Creators Day, we have done so far we like to know the experience of the attendees, we learn from every opportunity and we are pleased to bring the Hive message to Hive creatives and enthusiastic people of the blockchain ecosystem, as it was this time the Hive Creators Day Coffee style in Maracaibo, Venezuela.

In this post, we share the official report of what was Hive Creators Day Maracaibo and the opinions of some attendees. In the video, you can see the summary of the activity, and some opinions of the attendees, it is only in Spanish; in the post, you will find the written opinions in english .

The event "Hive Creators Day Maracaibo" coffee style took place on June 4th at the Lago Mall in the city of Maracaibo, Zulia state in Venezuela.

Maracaibo is the capital of the state of Zulia, its population represents more than 50% of all the inhabitants of Zulia, and is the second most populated city in Venezuela, with Caracas, the capital of the country, in the first place. We are delighted that there is a Hivers community in this city.

📌 Event purpose

The purpose of the "Hive Creators Day Maracaibo" was to connect Hive creatives living in Maracaibo or nearby areas, and users interested in joining the blockchain; as well as to capture media information that would allow us to project Hive as a social blockchain.

Our objectives were the following:

25 attendees
Boost the local Hivers community.
Social media reach of 5000 people
Capture images to promote on social networks and to spread around the world.

The event was a success. We reached the goal of over 25 blockchain enthusiast attendees, we got over 50,000 impressions organically on Twitter and we were very happy to welcome the Maracaibo community, under the Host of @arlettemsalase who was our representative in this event. Overall the feedback we received was positive, participants commented favorably on the experience and can be located by the tag #HiveCDMcbo.

🚀 Highlights

This event engaged the local Hivers community in a new and unique way, we were delighted that blockchain enthusiasts who were not Hive users attended, all the educational content was focused on showing a broad context of Hive highlighting its entire ecosystem; Hive users got to meet and connect with each other, we feel satisfied when we see this community grow. Users interested in Hive appreciated meeting members of the blockchain and knowing how to get started in it.

An important aspect to highlight is that we managed to give 3 scholarships from Platzi for education in cryptocurrencies and blockchain, thanks to the work of our Host, we achieved support from one of the largest academies in Latin America through its work as a student ambassador in this academy.

Thanks to this alliance we were invited to talk about Hive in the educational space on the blockchain technology of this outstanding academy "Cryptocositas", those in charge of talking about Hive in this community were Arlette and @enrique89; in this link you can access the summary of the activity, thank you very much to both for projecting Hive to other communities of the blockchain ecosystem.

We achieved our initial goal, but our greatest satisfaction was the strengthening of community ties that was generated in the event, not only between Hivers of Maracaibo but the projection we achieved as a community that belongs to an excellent Web3 blockchain.

💡Identified challenges

Every event leaves lessons learned and in our case we have many to share for the next events we organize. Some points to work on are:

The number of people interested was unexpected, this is a common point in the last events, we will make bigger projections in the future.

For future events, we will take care of the goal of the number of attendees.

💸 Current financial position

We did a type of event looking to have as much cost savings as possible, although we had coffee break, which were delicious pizzas, the venue was free as it was a food fair, this is what we love about the Hive Creators Day Coffee style, they are very adaptable. As you know we had support from the Hive Creators proposal and @threespeak-es, but more than 50% of the expenses were thanks to blog income.

Our Event Host received logistical support for the event arrangements and her per diem for the day.

The initial budget was 263,66 USD, there are still many hours of work involved in managing the event, editing content, networking, that we are doing for the love of our project and Hive, and that we consider can be recovered in the future. Below we present our actual expenses.

En los Hive Creators Day que hemos realizado hasta ahora nos gusta conocer la experiencia de los asistentes, aprendemos de cada oportunidad y nos complace llevar el mensaje de Hive a los creativos de Hive y personas entusiastas del ecosistema blockchain, como fue en esta oportunidad el Hive Creators Day estilo Coffee en Maracaibo, Venezuela.

En este post compartimos el reporte oficial de lo que fue Hive Creators Day Maracaibo y opiniones de algunos asistentes. En el video podrás ver el resumen de la actividad, y algunas opiniones de los asistentes, solamente se encuentra en español; en el post encontrarás las opiniones escritas.

El evento "Hive Creators Day Maracaibo" estilo coffee se llevó a cabo el 04 de Junio en el Centro Comercial Lago Mall en la ciudad de Maracaibo, estado Zulia en Venezuela.

Maracaibo es la capital del estado Zulia, su población representa más del 50% de todos los habitantes del Zulia, y es la segunda ciudad más poblada de Venezuela, estando en primer lugar Caracas, la capital del país. Nos encanta que exista una comunidad de Hivers en esta ciudad.

📌 Propósito del evento

El propósito del "Hive Creators Day Maracaibo" era conectar a los creativos de Hive que vivieran en Maracaibo o zonas cercanas, y a los usuarios interesados en unirse a la blockchain; así como captar información de media que permita proyectar a Hive como una blockchain social.

Nuestros objetivos eran los siguientes:

Impulsar la comunidad de Hivers de la localidad
Alcance en redes sociales de 5000 personas
Captura de imágenes para promocionar en las redes sociales y repercutir en todo el mundo.

El evento fue un éxito. Alcanzamos la meta de más de 25 asistentes de entusiastas blockchain, obtuvimos a más de 50.000 impresiones de forma orgánica en Twitter y estuvimos muy felices de dar la bienvenida a la comunidad de Maracaibo, bajo el Host de @arlettemsalase quien fue nuestra representante en este evento. En general los comentarios que recibimos fueron positivos, los participantes comentaron favorablemente la experiencia y se pueden ubicar por el tag #HiveCDMcbo.

🚀 Aspectos destacados

Este evento involucró a la comunidad de Hivers de la zona de una manera nueva y única, nos encantó que asistieran entusiastas blockchain que no eran usuarios de Hive, todo el contenido educativo estuvo enfocado en mostrar un contexto amplio de Hive destacando todo su ecosistema; los usuarios de Hive lograron conocerse y establecer conexión entre ellos, nos sentimos satisfechos cuando vemos este crecimiento comunitario. Los usuarios interesados en Hive apreciaron conocer miembros de la blockchain y saber como iniciar en ella.

Un aspecto importante a destacar es que se lograron dar 3 becas de Platzi para educación en criptomonedas y blockchain, gracias al trabajo de nuestra Host, logramos el apoyo con una de las academias más grandes de Latinoamérica a través de su labor como estudiante embajador en esta academia.

Gracias a esta alianza fuimos invitados a conversar sobre Hive en el espacio educativo sobre tecnología blockchain de esta destacada academia "Cryptocositas", los encargados de conversar sobre Hive en esta comunidad fueron Arlette y @enrique89; en este enlace puedes acceder al resumen de la actividad, muchas gracias a ambos por proyectar Hive hacia otras comunidades del ecosistema blockchain.

Logramos nuestra meta inicial, pero nuestra mayor satisfacción fue el fortalecimiento entre lazos comunitarios que se generó en el evento, no solo entre Hivers de Maracaibo sino la proyección que logramos como comunidad que pertenece a una excelente blockchain de Web3.

💡Identificando los desafíos

Todo evento deja lecciones aprendidas y en nuestro caso tenemos muchas que compartir para los próximos eventos que organicemos. Algunos puntos a trabajar son:

La cantidad de personas interesadas fue inesperada, este es un punto común en los últimos eventos, haremos proyecciones más grandes a futuro.

Para próximos eventos vamos a cuidar la meta de la cantidad de asistentes.

💸 Situación financiera actual

Hicimos un tipo de evento buscando tener el mayor ahorro posible en gastos, aunque tuvimos coffee break, que fueron unas deliciosas pizzas, el local era gratuito al ser una feria de comida, esto es lo que nos encanta de los Hive Creators Day estilo Coffee, son muy adaptables. Como saben tuvimos apoyo de la propuesta del Hive Creators y @threespeak-es, pero más del 50% de los gastos fueron gracias a ingresos del blog.

Nuestra Event Host recibió apoyo logístico para las gestiones del evento y sus viaticos de ese día.

El presupuesto inicial era de 263,66 USD, aún hay muchas horas de trabajo que implica la gestión del evento, edición de contenido, trabajo en redes, que estamos haciendo por amor a nuestro proyecto y a Hive, y que consideramos se puede recuperar a futuro. A continuación presentamos nuestros gastos reales.
