Hello and happy Wednesday!
As much as I would like to post every day, it seems like anything and everything distracts me most days. At least I have been able to keep drawing most days, despite things and people getting in the way.
This drawing was supposed to be just a little bit of proportion and face practice, but, once I started drawing it, I liked the look of it, so I decided to keep going.
I usually like to draw people's faces based on how I see them and the kind of vibes they give me. That is why, if there is a lot going on with a certain subject, I will draw them many times, in different styles.
This one was based off a photo of myself, because, at the time, I wanted to just practice drawing an easy face without a lot of detail and stuff.
Sometimes struggling with damn beards and men's eyebrows gets really annoying, so I needed a break from that!
That hair effect took ages to complete, I was getting a little bit sick of the drawing towards the end. The desk's texture did make for a pretty cool look though, so I won't grumble too much.
Once the three hour long hair drawing session was done, I could finally add some colour.
I wasn't sure what to do for the colours, and only knew that I wanted a semi negative creepy type of effect. Most of the blue is acrylic paint, with the darkest fine lines being blue gel ink. The yellow and white was also done using gel ink pens, they are a bit pricey, but well worth it!
Just a little messy acrylic paint background...which, of course, made my cheap ass paper ripple like crazy.
And that's it, my creepy little face, with slightly exaggerated bone structure and creepy looking eyes. I think I like it well enough.
Hope this was somewhat entertaining at least.
Till next time, stay weird and creative my friends. Much love and good vibes!
