¡Hola Hive Open Mic! Hace demasiado tiempo que no participaba en este espacio semanal, la verdad me hacia falta estar con ustedes. Por razones más de tiempo que otra cosa, era mi ausencia por acá, pero espero poder estar aquí más seguido.

El tema de la semana es muy interesante e importante ya que vivimos en un mundo donde existe la opresión de muchas maneras, los gobiernos, nuestra cultura, las guerras, en fin tantas cosa qué hacen que vivamos en una constante aflicción y haga que nuestra voz se levante.

Apenas vi el tema, se me vino a la cabeza esta canción, Uprising. Es de la banda británica Muse. Creo que ya lo he dicho varias veces pero esta banda me ha acompañado en la vida y ha sido una gran influencia para mi. Esta canción hace parte de un especie de álbum conceptual y está basado en el libro de George Orwell "1984". Si no han tenido la oportunidad de leer este libro se los recomiendo 100%.

La canción habla sobre cómo nos podemos sentir oprimidos por el gobierno, la prensa y otros actos que impiden la libertad de expresión. La inspiración se nota en el libro, ya que en este se habla sobre un gobierno controlador en el que se tiene que hacer caso a todo lo que el "Gran Hermano" mande y están siendo observados en todo momento.

En el estribillo es donde se levanta la voz y quienes están en desacuerdo con ese control, dicen que no los podrán forzar, no los van a controlar y que ellos van salir victoriosos. Muy revolucionaria y potente es esta canción. Me encanta ese ritmo como si fuera la marcha y el intro de teclado con el sonido de un theremin.

Aunque la canción es basada en la ficción, tiene mucho en común con la actualidad, donde se ve este tipo de cosas y por eso es que muchas personas están cansadas de vivir en lo mismo. Muse es un grupo que en muchas de sus letras se ven teorías conspirativas, cosa que me llama la atención. Y creo que por eso esta canción es muy acertada para la semana.

Hello Hive Open Mic! It's been a long time since I participated in this weekly space, the truth is that I needed to be with you guys again. For more reasons of time than anything else, it was my absence here, but I hope to be here more often.

The theme of the week is very interesting and important since we live in a world where there is oppression in many ways, governments, our culture, wars, in short, so many things that make us live in constant affliction and make our voice get up.

As soon as I saw the theme, this song, Uprising, came to mind. It's from the British band Muse. I think I've already said it several times but this band has accompanied me in life and has been a great influence on me. This song is part of a kind of conceptual album and is based on George Orwell's book "1984". If you have not had the opportunity to read this book, I recommend it 100%.

The song talks about how we can feel oppressed by the government, the press and other acts that prevent freedom of expression. The inspiration is noticeable in the book, since it talks about a controlling government in which everything that "Big Brother" commands has to be heeded and they are being observed at all times.

In the chorus is where the voice is raised and those who disagree with that control, say that they will not be able to force them, they will not control them and that they will be victorious. Very revolutionary and powerful is this song. I love that rhythm like march and keyboard intro with the sound of a theremin.

Although the song is based on fiction, it has a lot in common with today, where this kind of thing is seen and that is why many people are tired of living in the same. Muse is a group that shows conspiracy theories in many of its lyrics, which catches my attention. And I think that's why this song is very successful for the week.
