Hive Music Festival #2 Karma Police - Radiohead (Piano Cover) | @hanselmusic

¡Hola! Que emoción escuchar sobre este festival que reúne muchos talentos. Lastimosamente no pude participar en la semana pasada, pero bueno aquí estoy para la segunda semana.

Algunos de ustedes saben por los covers que he subido anteriormente y mi claro gusto por el rock y es por eso que sigo con la misma línea para este concurso. Una banda que disfruto mucho en escuchar y tocar es Radiohead. Fue de las primeras bandas que escuché desde niño y su música me transporta mucho.

En el 2018 tuve la oportunidad de verlos en vivo y ha sido uno de los mejores conciertos en los que he estado. La canción con la que cerraron ese concierto fue precisamente esta, Karma Police. Realmente fue una experiencia muy bonita de ver cómo este grupo es tan profesional que básicamente sonaban tal cual en los álbumes.

Esta canción me gusta mucho por sus cambios de acordes y en parte también de tonalidad y su letra. Algo distintivo es su intro de piano lo cual hace que sea una canción fácil para versionar en este instrumento. Es una de mis favoritas de la banda y cada vez que puedo hacerlo la toco. Traté de hacer también un arreglo muy a mi estilo en el piano con algunos acordes tocados en la melodía, algo característico de mi forma de tocar.

Me dejé llevar un poco por la música, algo normal cuando estoy tocando el piano, entonces verán algo de movimiento en mi cabeza y haciendo caras algo chistosas jaja. Estando sentado es algo difícil expresar ese sentimiento o por lo menos moverse pero en mi caso siento que sale muy natural.

Espero les guste esta participación y claro, muy abierto a recomendaciones y feedback de parte de los jurados. Muchas gracias por esta gran oportunidad de seguir mostrando los talentos de la comunidad.

Hello! How exciting to hear about this festival that brings together many talents. Unfortunately I couldn't participate in last week, but well here I am for the second week.

Some of you know from the covers that I have previously uploaded and my taste for rock and that is why I continue with the same line for this contest. A band that I really enjoy listening to and playing is Radiohead. It was one of the first bands I listened to as a child and their music transports me a lot.

In 2018 I had the opportunity to see them live and it has been one of the best concerts I have been to. The song with which they closed that concert was precisely this one, Karma Police. It was really a very nice experience to see how this group is so professional that they basically sounded just like on the albums.

I like this song a lot because of its chord changes and partly also of tonality and its lyrics. Something distinctive is its piano intro which makes it an easy song to cover on this instrument. It's one of my favorites from the band and whenever I can do it I play it. I also tried to make an arrangement very my style on the piano with some chords played in the melody, something characteristic of my way of playing.

I got carried away a bit by the music, which is normal when I'm playing the piano, so you'll see some movement in my head and making funny faces haha. Being seated it is somewhat difficult to express that feeling or at least to move but in my case I feel that it comes out very natural.
