Hive Open Mic week 120 Armando's Rhumba (Improvisation) | @hanselmusic

¡Hola Open Mic! Esta semana surge un tema interesante para todos, "Mi Felicidad". Sinceramente no he estado tan feliz últimamente y se ha notado en mi ausencia de Hive y los videos que normalmente publico.

Pero algo que me ayuda a recobrar el ánimo es tocar y tratar de hacer algo de música. A pesar de que la música es uno de los motivos de desánimo curiosamente. Pero cuando toco me siento mejor y trato de estudiar y mejorar en mi instrumento.

Por eso hoy me atreví a lanzar este video, una canción que he venido practicando pero que no está 100% completa. Chick Corea es una de mis pianistas de jazz favoritos, por no decir el número uno. El ha sido la razón de aprender jazz y tratar de estudiar más del género.

Definitivamente se necesita un buen nivel de jazz e improvisación para sacar este tema, y aunque no lo hice a la perfección, disfruté de tocar e improvisar un poco este ritmo con influencia latina. De verdad me disculpo de todos los errores del video jaja.

He estado medio obsesionado con esa canción y me ha dado felicidad aprenderla así sea de a pocos. Es complejo de expresar y explicar pero bueno la música me ha matado pero a la vez me mantiene vivo. Me da tristeza, pero también es capaz de darme más felicidad. Y mientras siga acá, haré mucha música. ¡Gracias por escuchar!

Hello OpenMic! This week an interesting topic arises for everyone, "My Happiness". Honestly, I haven't been that happy lately and it shows in my absence from Hive and the videos I normally post.

But something that helps me get my spirits up is playing and trying to make some music. Despite the fact that music is one of the reasons for discouragement, curiously enough. But when I play I feel better and I try to study and improve on my instrument.

That is why today I dared to release this video, a song that I have been practicing but that is not 100% complete. Chick Corea is one of my favorite jazz pianists, if not number one. He has been the reason to learn jazz and try to study more of the genre.

You definitely need a good level of jazz and improvisation to pull this off, and while I didn't do it perfectly, I did enjoy playing and improvising a bit on this Latin-influenced groove. I really apologize for all the mistakes in the video haha.

I've been half obsessed with that song and it has given me happiness to learn it even if it's just a few. It is complex to express and explain but well music has killed me but at the same time it keeps me alive. It makes me sad, but it is also capable of giving me more happiness. And while I'm still here, I'll make a lot of music. Thanks for listening!
