Lovesong - The Cure

Estamos en la semana 139 de este Open Mic, con un tema muy bonito como es este. Por eso decidí compartir una canción que, tal cual como su nombre lo dice, es un tema de amor.

Esta canción la escribió Robert Smith a su prometida como un regalo de bodas antes de casarse, lo cual la hace bastante especial y dedicar a quien sea la indicada (o). De hecho me llama la atención porque ese matrimonio de el cantante de la banda junto con su esposa ha sido de muchos años, tal como debería ser.

He dicho antes que The Cure es de mis bandas favoritas. Sus canciones tienen diferentes moods, algunas son románticas, otras son muy oscuras, introspectivas, otras más alegres, lo que hace que este grupo sea tan interesante de escuchar.

Mi versión en piano hace que la canción sea un poco más triste y lenta, en parte me hace pensar a la versión que hizo Adele algún tiempo atrás. Pero disfruto mucho de tocar esta canción y hace parte de mi repertorio cuando me presento. No es la mejor versión que he hecho pero espero aun así les guste.

Nota: habia hecho una publicacion con un post mas elobaroado pero por alguna razon threespeak no lo ha subido y el borrador que tenia ya no esta. Aun asi no queria dejar de participar el dia de hoy.

We are in week 139 of this Open Mic, with a very nice theme like this one. That's why I decided to share a song that, just as its name says, is a love song.

This song was written by Robert Smith to his fiancée as a wedding gift before getting married, which makes it quite special and to dedicate it to whoever is the right one. In fact it catches my attention because this marriage of the band's singer and his wife has been going on for many years, as it should be.

I have said before that The Cure is one of my favorite bands. Their songs have different moods, some are romantic, some are very dark, introspective, some are more upbeat, which makes this band so interesting to listen to.

My piano version makes the song a bit sadder and slower, in part it makes me think of the version Adele did some time ago. But I really enjoy playing this song and it is part of my repertoire when I perform. It's not the best version I've done but I hope you still like it.
