Un gran saludo para la comunidad de Music, y felicitarlos por éste gran evento llamado Hive Music Festival, estoy muy contento de poder participar con ésta pieza títulada Tango in Skai del compositor francés Roland Dyens.

Cordiales saludos a los jueces y organizadores del evento: @eugelys, @ilazramusic, @edwardstobia, y felicitarlos por tan tremenda iniciativa (desconoco sí es la primera edición, disculpen).

Es la primera vez que participo en un Festival en Hive, lo cual me gusta mucho, escogí ésta Pieza porque me gusta mucho el Tango Argentino, a pesar de que ésta obra fue escrita por un francés, el compositor realmente supo como impregnarle el caracter y el Swing Argentino.

Sobre el compositor:

Roland Dyens ha sido unos de mis compositores y guitarristas preferidos desde que comencé a tocar guitarra, y Tango in Skai es una de sus composiciones más famosa. Nació en Túnez, 19 de octubre de 1955 y murió el 29 de octubre de 2016 en París. (Una gran perdida para mí ya que nunca pude conocerlo)

Fue uno de los más importantes interpretes y compositores para la guitarra solista durante el siglo XX y principios del Siglo XXI y su manera de escribir música para el instrumento es sumamente novedosa, sin cohibirse de crear un sonido propio y agregar elementos vanguardistas. Como guitarrista era excepcional, tenía una limpieza y un sonido que pocos llegan a lograr (Sorprendentemente no tenía las uñas largas de la mano derecha, éso es algo muy insólito para un guitarrista de su nivel).

En mi opinión, realmente el hombre fue un genio en su máxima expresión, aparte de ser un tipo muy humilde y sencillo (Se puede apreciar en los conciertos y las masterclases que daba en todo el mundo).

Sobre la pieza:

Tango in Skai es como dije en un principio, una de las composiciones más representativas del artista francés, ha sido intrepretada en todas partes del mundo y por los mejores guitarristas del mundo (No solamente guitarristas, también hay arreglos de ésta obra para Cuartetos de Cuerda, Piano, Orquestas Sinfónicas, Bandolas, entre otros...).

Realmente el significado de la palabra Skai sigue siendo un misterio para mí, ya que no sé sí es un juego de palabras (por la palabra anglosajo Sky) o sí es en su traducción francesa al español "cuero artificial" (Sinceramente aquí puede ser que esté equivocado en ambos análisis)

It's the first time I participate in a Festival in Hive, which I really like, I chose this Piece because I really like the Tango Argentino, even though this piece was written by a Frenchman, the composer really knew how to impregnate it with the character and the Argentine Swing.

About the composer:

Roland Dyens has been one of my favorite composers and guitarists since I started playing guitar, and Tango in Skai is one of his most famous compositions. He was born in Tunis, October 19, 1955 and died on October 29, 2016 in Paris (A great loss for me as I never got to meet him).

He was one of the most important performers and composers for the solo guitar during the 20th and early 21st Century and his way of writing music for the instrument is extremely novel, not shying away from creating his own sound and adding avant-garde elements. As a guitarist he was exceptional, he had a cleanliness and a sound that few ever achieve *(Surprisingly he did not have long fingernails on his right hand, that is something very unusual for a guitarist of his level).

In my opinion, the man really was a genius at his best, apart from being a very humble and simple guy (You can appreciate it in the concerts and masterclasses he gave all over the world).

About the piece:

Tango in Skai is as I said in the beginning, one of the most representative compositions of the French artist, it has been performed all over the world and by the best guitarists in the world (Not only guitarists, there are also arrangements of this piece for String Quartets, Piano, Symphony Orchestras, Bandolas, among others...).

Actually the meaning of the word Skai is still a mystery to me, since I don't know if it is a play on words (for the Anglo-Saxon word Sky) or if it is in its French translation "artificial leather" (Honestly here I may be wrong in both analyses).
