Hello, needlework community, wishing us all a happy and fulfilling week.
Do you know what is more exciting than being able to make your dress? It is also making dresses for people around you, the joy it brings adding a new dress to your wardrobe, I'm sure we all know how that feels. Sewing is a talent that spreads joy around, and I'm grateful to be blessed with such a talent.
Today, I will be sharing with us all a dress I made for a neighbor, we recently moved to a new area and she is the first neighbor who came to welcome us warmly, also making us feel at home and not miss our previous location too much, she is one of the nicest person I've met, very motherly and always have a warm smile plastered on her face. She also never stops appreciating the dresses I make and asks when I will be making her a dress as well, so last week, I got less busy with work and decided to fulfill that promise.
I made a straight gown using ankara fabric
Here I drafted and cut out the upper part of the dress, for both the front and back
Also, the down part of the dress using a straight skirt pattern,
Joined all pattern pieces together
And also added a zipper to the back
The interesting part of this dress is the sleeves, which I made using a tulle and satin fabric.
And here is the final look, 🥰🥰 beautiful, isn't it
You can see how excited she is for her dress and didn't hesitate to pose for some few shots, I already told you how lovely she is. I also uploaded the video part this making process and final look as she fitted her dress, do enjoy watching.
