    About :

Beautiful morning to you my Pukumundo family. I’m so excited to be here today with this week's presentation. Today I will be doing a cover of the song Sound of Silence. It was originally sang by Simon & Garfunkel in 1964. Ever since then, lots of people have done the cover of this song and one of the ones that received most recognition is the cover sang by Disturbed. It won a Grammy Award nomination which was worth it. His cover was super amazing. Out of all these covers, the one I love the most is the one sang by Pentatonix. I love their cover so so much with their Acapellas rhythms and music dynamics. The first day I heard it, it was on repeat throughout that day and after. All these while I never knew it belonged to the rock family in terms on genre. Few days ago, as I was surfing the net, I saw it’s genre as "Folk Rock" which sound so cool and so I decided to do a cover of it for this week’s presentation.

I did my cover in Acapella and it wasnt easy singing it cus it sounded a bit too low at the beginning but towards the end, a bit high. That’s due to the progression the Pentatonix made in their cover. I did tried my best though and I hope you enjoy it.

    LYRICS

    Hello darkness, my old friend
I've come to talk with you again
    Because a vision softly creeping
Left its seeds while I was sleeping
And the vision that was planted in my brain
    Still remains
    Within the sound of silence

In restless dreams, I walked alone
    Narrow streets of cobblestone
'Neath the halo of a streetlamp
I turned my collar to the cold and damp
When my eyes were stabbed by the flash of a neon light
    That split the night
And touched the sound of silence

And in the naked light, I saw
    Ten thousand people, maybe more
    People talking without speaking
    People hearing without listening
People writing songs that voices never shared
    No one dared
    Disturb the sound of silence

"Fools", said I, "You do not know
    Silence like a cancer grows
Hear my words that I might teach you
Take my arms that I might reach you"
But my words like silent raindrops fell
And echoed in the wells of silence

And the people bowed and prayed
To the neon god they made
And the sign flashed out its warning
In the words that it was forming
And the sign said, "The words of the prophets are written on the subway walls
    In tenement halls"
And whispered in the sounds of silence

    ESPANOL

    LETRA

    Hola oscuridad mi vieja amiga
he venido a hablar contigo otra vez

"Necios", dije yo, "ustedes no saben
