Welcome to Afritines week 53. Today I will be doing a cover of the song "Fire on the mountain" by Asa. Asa is a Nigerian musician and her unique style of music is loved by many including me. I decided to sing this song as a response to how I'm feeling with the current situation of the country. Things have been quite difficult lately and it looks like there is Fire on the Mountain but the government doesn't care. I got so angry yesterday when I saw the news that the CBN finally agrees to accepting old notes after making people pass through hell. Heard of lives that were lost due to the fact that they can't get cash. Its just so serious and frustrating and so I decided to sing this song. I do sincerely hope things turn out for the better and God come to our aid.

I decided to make my cover with the music instrumental which I generated here. The song is one of my evergreen favorites. It was released in the year 2007 while I was in secondary school and I can tell you, I've learnt the lyrics since then. That's to tell you how much I love the song and so many other songs by Asa. She is a super talented musician and her lyrics are always unique, different and thoughtful.

Hermosa mañana a todos

Bienvenidos a la semana 53 de Afritines. Hoy haré un cover de la canción "Fire on the mountain" de Asa. Asa es una música nigeriana y su estilo único de música es amado por muchos, incluyéndome a mí. Decidí cantar esta canción como respuesta a cómo me siento con la situación actual del país. Las cosas han estado bastante difíciles últimamente y parece que hay Fuego en la Montaña pero al gobierno no le importa. Me enojé mucho ayer cuando vi la noticia de que el CBN finalmente accede a aceptar billetes viejos después de hacer pasar a la gente por un infierno. Escuché de vidas que se perdieron debido al hecho de que no pueden obtener dinero en efectivo. Es tan serio y frustrante que decidí cantar esta canción. Espero sinceramente que las cosas mejoren y que Dios venga en nuestra ayuda.

Decidí hacer mi cover con la música instrumental que generé aquí. La canción es una de mis favoritas de siempre. Fue lanzado en el año 2007 cuando estaba en la escuela secundaria y les puedo decir que he aprendido la letra desde entonces. Eso es para decirte cuánto amo la canción y tantas otras canciones de Asa. Es una música súper talentosa y sus letras son siempre únicas, diferentes y reflexivas.
