Week 157 of the hive open mic is coming up, immediately following Holy Week, which commemorates the crucifixion, death and resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ.

For the Catholic people of much of Europe, and all of Latin America, it is a feast of faith and a time of spiritual renewal, even to reconcile with God, through the Eucharist or any other church is a time of reunion with our creator.

Reason why this week I was invited to interpret some Christian themes, among them this one that I bring you this week, La saeta, this theme of the master Joan Manuel Serrat, is nothing more than the musicalization of the poem of the same name of the great poet Antonio Machado, this dates from 1914, "There is no band of bugles and drums that has not played it as an indelible part of the sounds of Holy Week. This theme overwhelmed me and it was really very difficult to record it, more than performing it in church, in the intimacy of the house, today Resurrection Sunday, it overwhelmed me, so there are parts in which I broke a little, but I wanted to leave it as it was, I apologize for the details, I think it should be like that.

Se vino la semana 157 del hive open mic, inmediatamente después de la semana santa, esta conmemora la crucifixión, muerte y resurrección de nuestro señor Jesucristo.

Para el pueblo católico de buena parte de Europa, y toda America latina, es una fiesta de fe y tiempo de renovación espiritual, incluso para reconciliarnos con Dios, a traves de la eucaristía o cualquier otra iglesia es tiempo de reencuentro con nuestro creador.

Motivo por el cual esta semana fui invitado a interpretar algunos temas cristianos, entre ellos este que les traigo esta semana, La saeta, este tema del maestro Joan Manuel Serrat, no es mas que la musicalización del poema del mismo nombre del gran poeta Antonio Machado, este data de 1914, "No hay banda de cornetas y tambores que no la haya interpretado como parte indeleble de los sonidos de la Semana Santa. Suena «La saeta» y nos acordamos de Serrat culminando con ella muchos de sus conciertos, abrazando una y otra vez al Cristo milagroso que caminaba sobre las aguas y no al sangrante Cristo del madero, apoteosis barroca de la Semana Santa andaluza cuya estética y sentimiento conforma el poema y el propio desarrollo armónico de la canción"*.

Este tema me abrumó y en verdad que fue muy dificil grabarlo, mas que interpretarlo en la iglesia, en la intimidad de la casa, hoy Domingo de resurrección, me sobrecogío, por lo cual hay partes en las que me quebre un poco, pero quise dejarlo asi tal cual quedó, me disculpo por los detalles, creo que debe ser así.
