Tengo dos pasiones: leer y superarme a mi mismo. No me gusta estancarme, me gusta intentar, aprender, solucionar y si caigo, levantarme. En ese proceso de vida, los libros han sido fieles compañeros, co-protagonistas de mi historia. Hoy quiero hablarle de los libros que más me han influenciado, porque no puedo hablar de desarrollo personal y superación, sin mencionar a los libros que más me han marcado.

I have two passions: reading and surpassing myself. I don't like to stagnate, I like to try, to learn, to solve and if I fall, to get up. In this process of life, books have been faithful companions, co-protagonists of my story. Today I want to talk about the books that have influenced me the most, because I cannot talk about personal development and self-improvement without mentioning the books that have influenced me the most.

Todos tenemos libros que nos han cambiado la vida de una u otra manera. Libros que marcaron un antes y un después en nuestro transitar por este mundo. En mi caso, tengo varios, pero especialmente cinco (5) de los cuales te hablaré hoy en le video y en este post.

We all have books that have changed our lives in one way or another. Books that marked a before and after in our journey through this world. In my case, I have several, but especially five (5) of which I will talk about today in the video and in this post.

Este libro lo recibió mi madre en un curso in company que recibió en una de las instituciones públicas donde laboraba. Un libro escrito de manera sencilla que despertó en mi el interés sobre lo que era la autoestima, el desarrollo personal y la motivación al logro. Fue mi introducción a este mundo, con él aprendí lo básico sobre este tema y después de leerlo no pude parar en querer aprender sobre este mundo de la superación y el crecimiento personal hasta hoy.

This book was given to my mother in an in company course that she received in one of the public institutions where she worked. A book written in a simple way that awakened my interest in self-esteem, personal development and achievement motivation. It was my introduction to this world, with it I learned the basics about this topic and after reading it I could not stop wanting to learn about this world of self-improvement and personal growth until today.

Este libro de enfoque cristiano, trata sobre la teoría de los 4 temperamentos, que según el médico griego Hipócrates (en la isla de Cos c. 460-Larisa, Tesalia, c. 377 a. J.C.), el más importante de la antigüedad, todos poseemos. Según él y posteriormente Galeno, los humanos tenemos humores que regulan o explican el porqué algunas personas se comportan de una manera particular. Es como una teoría de personalidades y carácter. Sanguíneo, colérico, melancólico y flemático son cuatro temperamentos. Este libro de Tim LaHaye desarrolla esta temática de una manera bien ilustrativa y pedagógica. Este libro me ayudó a conocerme, al identificarme con el temperamento melancólico, el leer la descripción me ayudó a entender muchas cosas de mi comportamiento. Más allá de que sea un tema no estrictamente comprobado, sí sirve mucho de guía para entenderse y entender a otros.

This book, with a Christian approach, deals with the theory of the 4 temperaments, which according to the Greek physician Hippocrates (on the island of Cos c. 460-Larisa, Thessaly, c. 377 B.C.), the most important physician of antiquity, we all possess. According to him and later Galen, humans have humors that regulate or explain why some people behave in a particular way. It is like a theory of personalities and character. Sanguine, choleric, melancholic and phlegmatic are four temperaments. This book by Tim LaHaye develops this theme in a very illustrative and pedagogical way. This book helped me to know myself, as I identified with the melancholic temperament, reading the description helped me to understand many things about my behavior. Beyond the fact that it is not a strictly proven subject, it is very useful as a guide to understand myself and others.

El libro que más ha influido en mi. Me hizo pasar de ser un joven tímido, inseguro y torpe para relacionarme con otros, a ser mas diestro y hábil a la hora de tratar a las personas. Un libro escrito por Dale Carnegie, escritor, educador y empresario que fundó su propia academia para enseñar a otros sobre relaciones humanas, oratoria y ventas. Si existe un libro que recomendaré por sobre todos los que he leído, será este. Ya he escrito sobre él en este post. En el video digo que me lo he "comido" tres veces, en realidad han sido muchas más, sino completo, por capítulos según lo que voy necesitando.

The book that has influenced me the most. It made me go from being a shy, insecure and awkward young man when relating to others, to being more dexterous and skillful when dealing with people. A book written by Dale Carnegie, writer, educator and entrepreneur who founded his own academy to teach others about human relations, public speaking and sales. If there is one book I will recommend above all others I have read, it will be this one. I have already written about it in this post. In the video I say that I have "eaten" it three times, in reality it has been many more, if not complete, in chapters as I need them.

Un libro de reflexiones cortas con moralejas y lecciones de vida. Su sencillez me cautivó, no podía despegarme de él. Lo devoré y el conocer sobre lo que su autor, Zig Ziglar, hacía y a lo que se dedicaba, me inspiró a querer hacer lo mismo: escribir, dictar conferencias, ayudar a otros, motivar. Fue el libro que me animó a escribir y a ser un conferencista, sueño y meta que he alcanzado, pero me falta mucho más por lograr.

A book of short reflections with morals and life lessons. Its simplicity captivated me, I could not tear myself away from it. I devoured it and learning about what its author, Zig Ziglar, did and what he did, inspired me to want to do the same: write, lecture, help others, motivate. It was the book that encouraged me to write and to become a lecturer, a dream and goal that I have achieved, but I still have much more to accomplish.

Un libro que narra una historia de forma magistral. Escrito por Arnie Warren (presentador de radio y televisión estadounidense), nos presenta la historia de un hombre que no sabía qué hacer con su vida, a qué dedicarse. Emprende un viaje en el que conoce a personas que le van mostrando el camino a descubrir su pasión laboral. Este libro me llevó a enterarme del tema del ikigai o propósito de vida, me ayudó a mucho a encontrar y aceptar mi talento, así como actuar en base a él. En este post reflexiono sobre este tema, te invito a leerlo.

A book that tells a story in a masterful way. Written by Arnie Warren (American radio and television presenter), it presents the story of a man who did not know what to do with his life, what to do for a living. He embarks on a journey in which he meets people who show him the way to discover his passion for his work. This book led me to learn about the topic of ikigai or life purpose, it helped me a lot to find and accept my talent, as well as to act based on it.
