La IA y la filosofía

La inteligencia artificial es algo que está en la boca de todos, creo que de antemano no podemos rechazarla pero tampoco aprobar con total apertura, la actitud filosófica es tratar de entenderla, de cuestionar todo acerca de ella. Considero que la proliferación de IAs en esta época se debe a que estamos apuntando al desarrollo tecnológico y me parece que olvidamos hacer preguntas importantes. Por ejemplo, ¿tenemos claro lo que significa aprender?, ¿Qué es aprender? Porque afirmamos que estas inteligencias artificiales puedan mejorar su desempeño afirmando que aprenden. Creo que estamos dando muchas cosas por sobreentendidas y esto puede acarrear problemas más adelantes.

La filosofía en su periplo reflexivo no deja nada por sabido o sin cuestionar, y ahora las inteligencias artificiales promueven un montón de preguntas, de dudas en torno, de cuestiones que filosóficamente tienen que ser pensadas. Todo avance tecnológico nos propone nuevos panoramas reflexivos y la IA no se escapa de ello.

AI and philosophy

Artificial intelligence is something that is on everyone's lips, I think that in advance we cannot reject it but neither can we approve it with total openness, the philosophical attitude is to try to understand it, to question everything about it. I believe that the proliferation of AIs in this era is due to the fact that we are aiming at technological development and it seems to me that we forget to ask important questions. For example, are we clear about what it means to learn, what is learning? Because we claim that these artificial intelligences can improve their performance by claiming that they learn. I think we are taking many things for granted and this can lead to problems later on.

Philosophy in its reflective journey leaves nothing for known or unquestioned, and now artificial intelligences promote a lot of questions, of doubts, of issues that philosophically have to be thought about. Every technological advance proposes new reflective panoramas and AI does not escape from this.
