Hello friends of Hive and TBT Thursdays, it is an immense pleasure to share once again with all of you, life experiences that became valuable memories that last until the present and that enhance who we are. In this opportunity I want to close the cycle with the first members of my old band Teoría Cero.

With the video that I present and the photos below, I want to remember with you, what was the beginning of the musical project that changed my life and led me much more in rock, and then, in the following posts I will talk about the stage that followed and that consolidated a new sound in the band.

It will always be important to close chapters in our lives, as a way to pay tribute to the positive moments and the impact of the negative ones, since that is where our growth lies. It is also key to always thank the people who believed in what was done, because without them, nothing would have been possible. For this and other reasons, join me and... Hola amigos de Hive y de los jueves de TBT, es un inmenso placer compartir una vez más con todos ustedes, experiencias de vida que se convirtieron en valiosos recuerdos que perduran hasta el presente y que realzan lo que somos. En esta oportunidad quiero hacer un cierre de ciclo con los primero miembros que tuvo mi antigua banda Teoría Cero.

Con el video que les presento y las fotos a continuación, quiero recordar en compañía de ustedes, lo que fue el inicio del proyecto musical que cambió mi vida y me encaminó mucho más en el rock, para luego, en los siguientes posts hablarles, de la etapa que siguió y que consolidó un nuevo sonido en la banda.

Siempre será importante el cierre de capítulos en nuestras vidas, como forma de homenajear los momentos positivos y el impacto de los negativos, ya que justo ahí es donde se encuentra nuestro crecimiento. También es clave agradecer siempre a las personas que creyeron en lo que se hizo, porque sin ellas, nada hubiese sido posible. Por este y otros motivos, acompáñenme... ¡A Rockear! 🤘😎🤘🔥🎙️🎸🎶❤️🌟🍻💥💫💯

As with any project or undertaking, both human talent and economic resources play a key role in the successful development of the objectives and goals set. In the case of Teoría Cero, our resources were limited but we each focused on our work to achieve a studio with the initial amenities for rehearsals; by this I mean sound, microphones, instruments and materials to improve the acoustics of the room. At the beginning we had to fix the electrical installations that were faulty in order to fully enter into the conditioning of the place.

The rehearsals were in a room in my old house in Venezuela, it had good ventilation and lighting, but our goal was to make it airtight mainly to not disturb the neighbors and also to have a clearer and more accurate sound in practice. That was achieved very well and every step we took we celebrated listening to music, drinking and telling anecdotes to further strengthen the coexistence and affection between us.

Como todo proyecto o emprendimiento que se haga, tanto el talento humano, como los recursos económicos, juegan un papel clave para el desarrollo exitoso de los objetivos y metas planteadas. En el caso de Teoría Cero, nuestros recursos eran limitados pero nos enfocamos cada uno en nuestros trabajos para lograr tener un estudio con las comodidades iniciales para los ensayos; con esto me refiero a sonido, micrófonos, instrumentos y materiales para mejorar la acústica de la habitación. En un comienzo tuvimos que arreglar las instalaciones eléctricas que presentaban fallas para así entrar de lleno en el acondicionamiento del lugar.

Los ensayos eran en una habitación de mi antigua casa en Venezuela, tenía buena ventilación e iluminación, pero nuestra meta era hacerlo hermético principalmente para no molestar a los vecinos y también para tener un sonido más nítido y preciso en las prácticas. Eso se logró muy bien y cada paso que dábamos lo celebrábamos escuchando música, bebiendo y contando anécdotas para fortalecer más la convivencia y el afecto entre nosotros.

These photos are not the best in terms of quality (keep in mind the phones and digital cameras that existed in 2009 hehe), but it was the first session we did to advertise the band on Facebook, which was the first major social network to bring us closer to the people in our area. Everyone knew very well their role in the band, if one failed, we all failed, so we practiced a lot almost the 5 main days of the week, until we showed confidence on stage and a good performance in each instrument. We always made self-evaluations and group evaluations after playing, to make conscious each area in which we had to improve. This was a bit complex because not all of us had the same level, which led us to study to be able to speak the same language as time went by.

Estas fotos no son las mejores en cuanto a calidad (tengan en cuenta los teléfonos y cámaras digitales que habían en el año 2009 jeje), pero fue la primera sesión que hicimos para hacer publicidad a la banda en Facebook principalmente que fue la primera gran red social en acercarnos más a las personas de nuestra zona. Cada uno sabía muy bien su rol dentro de la banda, si fallaba uno, fallábamos todos, por ello practicábamos mucho casi que los 5 días principales de la semana, hasta mostrar seguridad en escena y un buen desempeño en cada instrumento. Siempre hacíamos autoevaluaciones y evaluaciones grupales luego de tocar, para ir haciendo consciente cada área en la que se debía mejorar. Eso fue un poco complejo porque no todos teníamos el mismo nivel, lo que nos llevó a estudiar para poder hablar el mismo lenguaje con el pasar del tiempo.

We had to sound great at the concerts and show a lot of commitment to the process, so conflicts began to appear little by little. This is very normal in any project, so leadership must be firm and empathetic at the same time, but not everything went well from this point. The first to feel threatened by the speed at which everything was happening, was the vocalist, which led me to take that position since I wrote the songs; do not think it was easy, I had to adapt to it and take singing lessons, but I complied with me and the guys.

As the stress intensified, our guitarist was affected and his performance went downhill. We gave him opportunities but he didn't get what we needed, and he was the next to leave the band. The search for a new guitarist led us to a stalemate that ultimately ended in the complete separation of the band.

La exigencia no se hizo esperar, debíamos sonar genial en los conciertos y mostrar mucho compromiso con el proceso, por lo que los conflictos empezaron a aparecer poco a poco. Esto es muy normal en cualquier proyecto, por lo que el liderazgo debe ser firme y a la vez empático, pero no todo salió bien desde este punto. El primero en sentirse amenazado por la rapidez en que iba ocurriendo todo, fue el vocalista, lo que me llevó a mi a tomar ese puesto ya que las canciones las escribía yo; no crean que fue fácil, me tuve que adaptar a ello y tomar clases de canto, pero cumplí conmigo y con los chicos.

A medida que se intensificaba el estrés, nuestro guitarrista se vio afectado y su rendimiento se fue a pique. Le dimos oportunidades pero no consiguió lo que necesitábamos, siendo él el siguiente en salir de la banda. La búsqueda de nuevo guitarrista nos llevó a un estancamiento que a la final terminó en la separación completa de la banda.

I will never forget these guys, because they filled me with pride despite the difficulties and with them I managed to give visibility to an idea of my own that later became everyone's dream. Personally, having managed to captivate them with my songs, having motivated them to join the band and take Teoría Cero to the stage, was a very gratifying experience and every time I remember it, I do it with nostalgia, because we could have gone further, however, it could not be achieved. I was confident in my songs and I wanted to make music my 2nd job at that time; to reach that goal, it was necessary to improve what we already had and restructure the process with new members that demanded more from me as a musician and that were in tune with my vision, thus taking everything to another level.

There will always be painful decisions as well as necessary pauses when we dream big, that's why introspection is necessary when we have to move forward. I was very afraid that Teoría Cero would die for good, but there is always a light at the end of the tunnel and it was there, when I thought all was lost, that the new chosen ones appeared to play with me and continue the adventure... Jamás olvidaré a estos muchachos, porque me llenaron de orgullo a pesar de las dificultades y logré con ellos darle visibilidad a una idea propia que se convirtió después en el sueño de todos. En lo personal, haber logrado cautivarlos con mis canciones, haberlos motivado a unirse a la banda y llevar a Teoría Cero a los escenarios, fue una experiencia demasiado gratificante y que cada vez que la recuerdo, lo hago con nostalgia, porque pudimos haber llegado más lejos, sin embargo, no se pudo lograr. Yo confiaba en mis canciones y quería hacer de la música mi 2do trabajo en ese momento; llegar a esa meta, ameritaba mejorar lo que ya había y reestructurar el proceso con nuevos integrantes que me exigieran más a mi como músico y que estuvieran en sintonía con mi visión, llevando de esta forma todo a otro nivel.

Siempre habrán decisiones dolorosas al igual que pausas necesarias cuando soñamos en grande, por ese motivo la introspección es necesaria cuando hay que avanzar. Tuve mucho miedo de que Teoría Cero muriera de forma definitiva, pero siempre hay una luz al final del túnel y fue ahí, cuando creía que todo estaba perdido, que aparecieron los nuevos elegidos para tocar conmigo y continuar la aventura... En los siguientes posts los conocerán... De esta forma llegamos al final de este primer ciclo, así que muchas gracias por haber llegado hasta aquí, lo valoro mucho, bendiciones para todos 🙏❤️...
